tens of thousands of animals perished in the brush fires. habitats were decimated by the historic disaster as well. today's efforts helped to raise money for the koalas. >> the koala foundation and the great work they're doing to help them so i thought this is something i can do to raise awareness and raise money to help them and have fun at the same time. >> donations to the nonprofit are tax deductible. organizers say they had to do something after learning of the extensive devastation to wildlife on the continent. hundreds of people donned their nicest pair of skivvies for a fun run for a good cause. cupid's undie run is for >> we need to find a cure.

we were today. so a lot of sunshine but closer to average for this time of the year. by monday morning, though, we'll see a front move through here. unfortunately, it won't bring any rain. what it will do is kind of kick up our winds in our hills. fortunately, nowhere near as windy as we were last weekend. that dry pattern, though, does look to continue at least for the next seven days. temperaturewise, cooling off in the 50s. 56 in santa rosa, 55 in the city. 58 in livermore. 62 in brentwood. san mateo with a temperature around 56 degrees. we'll take a look at the drought monitor and an update on where the entire state is sitting right now. from fresno to bakersfield we're in a moderate draught. 46% of california, you can see, is abnormally dry, that area shaded in yellow. the culprit is because of this big area of high pressure. live doppler 7 along the satellite, this area of high pressure, this ridge has not

moved for several weeks. we're stuck in this rut, this pattern that keeps that storm door closed. rain to our north. this is the front that will move through here early monday morning and kind of kick up our winds early next week. so, rainfall potential with that storm system again, that rain is going to stay in the pacific northwest. much of california will remain dry. overnight tonight, mix of stars and clouds out there. little patchy coastal fog. otherwise numbers mainly in the 40s. couple of pockets in the north bay will hold in the upper 30s. tomorrow it's a nice-looking day. mostly sunny skies. little breezy along the coast. winds about 10 to 15 miles per hour. temperatures a little cooler tomorrow than we were today, about 59 in the city. about 62 in oakland, 67 in san francisco, 65 in concord. monday morning, cold front moves through here, kicking up the winds in the north bay mountain s and east bay hills. not as widespread as last weekend's wind event. monday afternoon, the winds are
