>> dion lim. lauren martinez joins us live with the latest. >> richmond and el cerrito del norte stations have reopened tonight. at last report the victim shot at del norte is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. police radio calls describe the moment when two b.a.r.t. police officers opened fire on the armed man around 2:00 saturday afternoon. >> he was running, trying to get away from the police. >> reporter: witness was sitting on b.a.r.t. moments before the shooting. >> chased him throughout train, out the train, on the platform, jumped on the tracks and they shot him. >> fired off a lot of rounds, everybody scattered. i ran out. >> reporter: at press conference police chief alf advivarez said

officers were responding to domestic call about a man and woman, one armed. >> got on the platform, challenged that individual who ran, off the train, down the platform, on to the trackway. a gun was produced by the suspect and officers ultimately shot, recovering the gun. >> reporter: victim shot was airlifted to a nearby hospital. witnesses say they were trying to console the girl with him. >> she was saying how old he was, only 17, that scared me. >> police did not confirm the age of the young man shot or woman with him. police are looking through video from the station, trains and body cameras both officers were wearing. lauren martinez, abc7 news. we first reported the story through abc7 news app this afternoon.
