mission and market streets. the report is that two people were stabbed here. while police were on the scene investigating that call, an uber driver pulled up and told officers he had just been attacked. he said three people tried to carjack him. he described the attack on camera for us. >> he kept trying to open my door and he finally opened it, tried to yank me out, i kept fighting him the whole time. finally i got back into the car, because he almost had me out. i jumped back in, i started to make the turn, and i realized there was a person still in my car, i told him get out. >> he also said those three men tried to carjack a woman at 9th and we are still waiting to hear from police about these attacks. the scene here on 9th street is now clear. reporting live from san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. happening today, coronavirus

evacuees being quarantined at camp ashland in omaha, nebraska will start being cleared and released. yesterday a second round of 180 americans brought to travis air force base from wuhan were released from quarantine. they were brought to the base two weeks ago. they were cleared, a lot to catch flights home from sfo. one passenger evacuated from the diamond princess cruise ship that was brought to travis air force base is now confirmed to have the virus. that person is being treated at queen of the valley medical center in napa. also in the north bay, search teams will head back out to marin county to try to find a missing couple. crews searched the water off shell beach for carol kiparsky and ian irwin yesterday. they have not been seen since friday. officials already covered a two mile area with no sign of them. your voice, your vote. there was no holding back at the democratic debate in las vegas.

chance of the senator beating president trump. >> sanders is currently the front-runner with 32% support according to the latest abc news poll. president trump is campaigning in colorado and nevada. today he will hold a rally in colorado springs, he'll deliver remarks at a prisoners graduation ceremony in las vegas. white house officials say the president wants to highlight his administration's efforts to give former efforts new opportunities. oracle employees plan to protest today after their boss hosted a trump campaign fund raiser. larry ellerson held the fund-raiser yesterday at his estate. employees are planning a log-off protest. they'll contribute to causes that are important to them instead of working. oracle declined to comment on the protest. it is sentencing day for president trump's long-time adviser, roger stone. his case has been at the center of the public tensions between the president and attorney

general william barr. andrew dymburt is live at the courthouse where the sentence will be handed down. good moing. >> reporter: we know roger stone is guilty in the eyes of the law, but will he walk free? set for sentencing, this afternoon trump ally and former campaign adviser roger stone will find out how long he's going to prison. the president had been critical about the case calling it a miscarriage of justice and tweeting things like pretty obvious he should get a new trial, after a series of tweets and remarks from trump the department of justice went against their own prosecutor's stiff sentence recommendation of 7 to 9 years calling it extreme and excessive and pushed for less prison time. william bar says the president's constant tweets about the case

today you're invited to enjoy free admission at sf moma. this is in honor of black history month. bay's exhibit runs through the 25th. investigators out of germany say the gunman who killed nine people may have been motivated by far-right beliefs. a 43-year-old man opened fire in several locations in hanau. eight people were killed at two bars. some of the killed are believed to be of turkish origin. today the state assembly is expected to approve a resolution condemning california's role in the interment of japanese-americans during world war ii. the u.s. government placed about 120,000 people in ten interment ca camps throughout the country. one sponsor says it should serve as a reminder to learn from the mistakes of the past. mgm resorts is investigating

a data breach after personal customer information was exposed. it happened last year but details are just being revealed. reports say as many as 10.6 million people were impacted. that includes twitter ceo jack dorsey. the majority of guests had email addresses, phone numbers and physical addresses breached. about 1,300 people had more sensitive information exposed including driver's licenses and passports. the maker of a popular children's water bottle is issuing yet another recall. this is the second time in six months. nearly 6 months contigo kids cleanable water bottles were recalled in august because the spouts were detaching and posing a choking hazard. now the replacement lids sent to consumers may be defective. you're never more than seven minutes away from your accuweather forecast. let's go over to mike. >> hi, everybody.

to get across the bay bridge traveling westbound into san francisco, about 19 minutes for that ride. the chp is investigating a crash that left one person dead in san jose. it happened after 2:15 this morning on 680 just north of jackson avenue. the car hit the exit post and sign. the victim, who has not been identified died at the scene. and we have new video of a crash on highway 17 in los gatos. this is on the northbound side near the transition to highway 85. several vehicles were involved here. at least one person is seriously hurt. authorities believe this crash was caused bay wrong-way driver. police are looking to speak with anyone who came in contact with a man who sexually assaulted a woman at a gym. >> this happened monday at the 24 hour fitness in fremont. detectives fear there could be other victims. julian glover is live in fremont with what happened here.

>> reporter: a terrifying incident, reggie. you can only imagine the fear in this woman's body. fremont police want anyone who had contact with this alleged attacker to come forward in the days leading up to this assault on monday night at the 24 hour fitness behind me. i want to show you a picture of this suspect. 33-year-old jonathan anderson, a homeless man in fremont. police say he straddled the woman while she was doing push-ups, pushed her to the ground, held her down, ripped off her clothing and attempted to sexually assault her. thankfully another person working out, pushed anderson off the victim, followed him as he tried to get away. this was a big guy, 6'1" 250 plus pounds, and that's when gym employees held

crew tested positive for the virus, including a southern california man now at a bio containment unit. a chinese expert says the coronavirus may never disappear fully and will likely come around seasonally like the flu. a man is in custody in connection with the death of a woman found inside a san jose airbnb. 25-year-old ryoichi fuseya surrendered yesterday. investigators have not said anything about the relationship between the two. detectives say the woman was the victim of a homicide. airbnb says it has deactivated the home from the website. a new development in a deadly fire in the central valley town of porterville. searchers have found the body of a second firefighter. ryan jones went missing during tuesday's fire inside the city library. crews used drones to aid crane operators sorting through the debris yesterday. jones was just 25 years old.

raymond figueroa also died fighting the inferno. family and friends paid tribute to him yesterday and the community is still in shock. >> it doesn't feel real. it doesn't. >> to the city of porterville, my family, his friends, he was everyone's hero. >> two 13-year-old boys face manslaughter and arson charges in connection with the fire. the d.a. says the boys are too young to be tried as adults. state lawmakers in sacramento are considering a bill that would penalize companies that let homes sit vacant for more than 90 days. nancy skinner introduced that measure. she said she was inspired by the group moms for housing. that group occupied a vacant home in oakland for two months. skinner's bill would allow tenants of foreclosed homes to buy the property. if the tenants decided not to buy, affordable housing organizations, cities and
