amy hollyfield is live with the charges he is now facing. >> this is on crow canyon road where lana carlos was killed. var investigators say she was in the crosswalk with her sister when she was hit. the man accused of hitting her bailed out of jail last night. 24-year-old joshua byrne was booked yesterday for felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter after turning himself in. 12-year-old lana was walking home from school when she was hit monday afternoon. officers say byrne was turning left in his raised-up ford f150 and he maybe didn't see her. her family says she was a wonderful girl. >> she was very special. sweet, sweet, sweet little angel. she loved everybody. she touched everyone's life. she's very close to god, she carried her biblnd in her backpack.

refinery on the west coast. a massive fire broke out at the marathon petroleum refinery in carson, south of l.a. as of 3:30 this morning, the l.a. county fire department said most of the fire had been put out and hazmat crews are monitoring the air quality there. there's currently no threat to the public. neighbors told our sister station, kabc, they heard a loud boom when the fire broke out around 11:00 last night. fire officials said the explosion happened in a cooling tower. interstate 405 is near the refinery, at one point it was closed in both directions. it's now back open. oprah goes outdoors. in my exclusive one-on-one interview, more on the group we hiked with that's encouraging everybody to get outside. taking a live look at the big board, it looks like we're up almost 200 points. another update on how the markets are doing next. >> first a check on the weather. mike, it's getting hot in here. so take off all my hoodies. >> yeah?
