new overnight, concord police launched an investigation into this, a car crashed into a fire hydrant and this is what happened. all that water flying into the area like a geyser the this was arou 125 concord on olivero road. water officials were on the scene trying to shut off the wter. a turning point in the coronavirus outbreak. it's happening right here in the bay area. a patient from solano county has the virus. we don't know how that person got it. up until now every patient in the u.s. could pinpoint the origin of their illness. we can no longer say that. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live for us at uc davis medical center in sacramento. amy? >> this patient is getting a lot of attention because of how she or he contracted the virus. according to the california department of public health, the individual had no known exposure to the virus through travel or

close contact with a known infected individual. so this could be the first person in the united states to get it from community exposure, meaning the virus could be in the community and spreading from person to person. the patient is a resident of solano county, but is being treated at uc davis medical center in sacramento. catching some who are visiting the hospital off guard. >> i did not know coming here that somebody had the virus. that's interesting. people make jokes about it all the time, i didn't know it's that serious. it's in sacramento. that's insane. >> reporter: health officials are saying the health risk to the general public from the coronavirus remains low. and most who get it do not require hospitalization. they have not released anymore information about the patient here. reporting live in sacramento, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. >> all right. thank you. mountain view-based facebook says it is cracking down on ads

making false claims about products tied to coronavirus. facebook is banning ads that feature products that imply a limited supply seeking to create a sense of urgency. ads that guarantee a cure or prevention are also banned, those include ads for face masks that claim the products are gaurn uaranteed to prevent the d of the virus. you can get the latest on our website, abc7news.com or download our app and enable push alerts. an oakland dental surgeon is under arrest accused of trafficking and s.e.c. criex cr against children. he faces seven felony counts including attempted kidnapping. doyle offered to buy two young girls for $30,000. the state attorney general's office moved to revoke doyle's dental license saying the

the time is 5:12, here's 7 things to know this morning a person from solano county is being treated at uc davis medical center for coronavirus. this is the first case in the u.s. where the cause is unknown. the patient had not traveled anywhere with a history of coronavirus or come into contact with anyone infected. number two, president trump tapped vice president mike pence to lead the u.s. response on coronavirus. he's also asking congress to spend 2$2.5 billion to stop the spread. democrats want more. number three, this morning b.a.r.t.'s police chief will present his plan to decrease racial disparities. it's in response to a report that shows african-american b.a.r.t. riders are ticketed more than people of other races. number four, milwaukee police say a gunman had been fired from the molson coors beer

the area. this is a live picture of 101 in san jose. here are our drive times. walnut creek to dublin, 13 minutes. santa rosa to san francisco, 47 minutes. and highway 1 to los gatos, 21 minutes. as we focus on building a better bay area, we know that traffic is a major issue. as you know, san francisco's market street is now car-free. a new study shows banning cars on market had minimal effect on side streets. there was concern about increased congestion. an analytics firm that specializes in traffic measured traffic speeds before and after the closure on january 29th. the study shows changes to market street have had sll imct traicee. the clousre reliable. i think we could have expected the buses effect. >> yeah. >> i think many people are not surprised by this. >> yeah. i think it's the big advantage

start dropping our temperatures tomorrow. 61 in san francisco, upper 70s inland. look at the sea breeze, mid 50s to mid 60s saturday and even cooler, mid 50s to mainly low 60s for sunday. that's average for this time of year. in pasadena, deputies say someone stole a mortuary's hearse from a church with a woman's body in the back. the l.a. county sheriff's department tweeted out a plea for the suspect to return the vehicle or at least return the woman. it says in part to the suspect driving around in a black lincoln navigator out of all the bad decisions you have made, at least make one good one and bring back the deceased person and casket inside the navigator. this is terrible. right now there's an all-out search to recover the hearse and the body. imagine if you are the family or friend of that person. >> un-huh. why are you driving around with it in the back?

well. no major problems on the roads. tracy to dublin, about 49 minutes. antioch to concord, 16 minutes, and san rafael to san francisco, also a 16-minute ride. >> all right. thank you. the chp responded to a wrong-way crash in santa clara county after midnight. this is on northbound 85 south of highway 17. a witness says he saw a pickup truck going the wrong way then it hit an suv head on. new video shows a dog in the pickup truck. you can see that on the camera there. we don't know how the truck driver is doing. the witness says the driver of the suv appeared to be okay. lanes were shut down for a period of time. they are back open now. japan announced they're closing all public schools to help control the spread of the virus. japan has more than 890 cases including 705 from that quarantined cruise ship. in the u.s., health officials are warning americans to be jobina has the latest on this.

airport tested positive for the coronavirus. officials call a deadly shooting ram pain page at the molson coors brewery in milwaukee the saddest day in the company's 165 years in the city. the gunman was fired from the brewery earlier in the day yesterday. he returned and he killed five employees. the 51-year-old shooter then killed himself. more than 1,000 people were working when the gunman opened fire. molson coors plans to keep the facility closed for the time being. part of building a better bay area is making sure everyone is treated equally. >> today b.a.r.t.'s police chief will increase his plan decrease racial disparities after report shows that black b.a.r.t. riders are ticketed more than people of other races. abc7 news reporter julian glover is live in fremont with more on that. julian?

>> we all know building a better b.a.r.t. is more than making sure the trains are safe and running on time, it also means that riders should be able to ride the transit system without fear of being racially profiled. apparently there's a problem. 1 in 10 b.a.r.t. riders are black, but more than half of all quality of life sicitations wer addressed to those riders. we're told the b.a.r.t. police chief will address what appears to be the systemic issue at a meeting later today and presenting a plan to fix the problem. these citations were for what b.a.r.t. considers quality of life violations, fare evasion, loud music, things like eating or smoking on the train. b.a.r.t. has made a concerted effort to crack down on fare evasions, and have been trained on avoiding racial profiling since 2015, but still the issue is prevalent. i want to give an example of this. 2019 fare evasion citations is what you're looking at right now on the screen, 50% of those citations were issued to black riders, 22% to white riders, 14%

to hispanic riders, 3% to asian riders. keep in mind black b.a.r.t. riders make up 10% of all the commuters who take b.a.r.t. on a bailey basis. chief alvarez expected to address these concerns in a meeting happening in oakland later today. reporting live outside of fremont b.a.r.t., julian glover, abc7 news. mayor london breed and other community leaders will hold a community healing event in the bayview where an elderly asian man was attacked last weekend. there were no law enforcement there when the man was attacked that response comes after the second video emerged showing the attack from a different angle. in it security guards allegedly stand by and do nothing to help this man. abc7 reached out to their employer. the company's ceo says the matter is under investigation. local leaders who condemned the attacks say they hope the video doesn't create division between

asian and african-americans. we should not make a blanket statement or assertion that there is mounting tensions. >> sfpd identified the man in the video but there's no update on his condition this morning. in the east bay, oakland school leaders say mcclymonds high school will be closed for another week while testing for a chemical linked to cancer goes on. abc7 was at the west oakland senior center for a town hall. students have been moved to three other schools while crews figure out if tce vapor is in the air around the school. engineers discovered the industrial solvent in ground water beneath the campus last week. a former mcclymonds principal says action needs to be taken. >> it's a little frightening immediately because of it being water i thought of flint, michigan. it's not a matter of okay, we'lb havet >> preliminary results reveal no traces of tce in the air but
