4:02 pm
most of them heard it on tv first. they just heard from the ship captain a few minutes ago. what we do know and they know is that yesterday the testing took place on this cruise ship. there's 3500 people on board who were then waiting for 24 hours to get this news which could determine their fate for really the next two weeks and of course, an hour ago learning that 21 people did test positive for coronavirus was certainly not the result that everyone was hoping for. take a look yesterday. national guard helicopters flew from moffitt field to the grand princess, which is circling in the pacific off the northern california coast right now. the helicopters flew in tests for 45 passengers on board on the first leg of the cruise from fenn 11th to the 21st. most of the people boarded on february 21st in san francisco for the second hawaiian leg of the cruise. the tests were then processed at a lab in richmond yesterday. then we got those results, of course, an hour ago.
