have the coronavirus. all passengers will be tested. >> the website marine traffic shows the exact location of the grand princess right now. it's about 20 miles off the bay area coast. our reporter spoke to a passenger who is aboard the ship and says they aren't allowed to leave their rooms. >> reporter: happening right now, the captain of the cruise ship confirmed supplies have been dropped off by the u.s. coalition guard. no word if any of the sick passengers have been airlifted yet. >> we have a guest who requires medical assistance. >> reporter: after hours of going around in circles, 2,422 passengers and 1,000 crew members are heading closer to california. aboard 21 people testing positive for the coronavirus. 19 crew members and two passengers. john miller and his liwife, lor are tracking the ship inside their cabin. in the latest announcement, the captain of the cruise ship

explained that the u.s. coast guard requested for the ship to get closer. their plan, to get supplies and to possibly airlift a sick passenger. >> i think we're getting cabin fever and apprehensive about what's next. >> reporter: the millers said their vacation from san francisco and hawaii took a turn yesterday, when they were asked to stay in their room with zero contact with anyone around them. >> the lack of information makes us nervous. >> reporter: yesterday, this helicopter crew delivered kits to the cruise ship to test about 100 passengers. >> the challenge becomes on the crews that population on this crews, the mean age is 60 years old. >> reporter: a former fema employee shed some light into what the government officials in this case are planning at this point. >> reporter: where you take that ship, and they want to make sure there's adequate medical facilities close by.
