the ship started in san francisco, it should have been brought back to san francisco. abc7 news reporter j.r. stone continuing our team coverage. you spoke with a number of people including council member libby reed not to mention a port of oakland employee. what did they say? >> reporter: there is certainly concern out there. i talked with council member larry reed. he believes that the ship could and should be docked in the city of san francisco, not oakland. because he has major concerns about some of the folks who live in west oakland. the port of oakland worker that i talked with said he's okay with the ship being docked at the port, but he's just concerned about the whole process here. he like many other people doesn't want the virus to spread when the passengers start getting off of the ship. he believes the problem could get worse if there is any mixup over the next couple of days. >> does it worry you?

>> of course. you look at it as that -- you got a virus that they don't have no cure for, and it's spreading, and so now it came closer to us, now it's at home now. and so if they don't handle it properly and it get out and spread, then it's going to affect a whole lot of people. >> reporter: now the governor says the port of oakland is the most ideal spot to be docked. but still a lot of people talking about this decision to dock at the port of oakland tonight. i will say, there are a number of people that i spoke with this afternoon who said, listen, if the governor and the mayor both say that this is the best situation and this is the best location for this ship to be docked, then they are all for it. you'll hear from some of those folks tonight at 6:00. reporting live in oakland, j.r. stone, abc7 news. >> thank you very much. and welcome. now today we spoke to

can see the area of circulation, our next storm is going to move into california. but it looks like southern california will get soaked by this next storm system. for us we'll be on the outer fringe. a couple of isolated showers but nothing widespread. future weather tomorrow morning, a fair amount of cloud cover, likely isolated showers. for most of tomorrow, mix of sun and clouds. by the evening we will watch in the south bay for isolated showers to pop up to finish out the day tomorrow. this storm is going to move into southern california. that's where you can expect the highest rainfall over the next 48 hours. similar in palm springs, inch and a half. northern much less. we're getting kind of brushed by the top of the storm as it moves into california. highs tomorrow partly sunny skies, isolated shower. best chance will be in the south ba temperatures in the mid
