diablo to mt. hamilton. we'll talk details rest of your weekend and a cold week ahead. jobina? >> thank you. we begin with the latest on the coronavirus count. four related deaths reported in the bay area, now at least 11 total. sonoma county reported its first coronavirus-related death last night. so did cost a new overnight here, a resident at the altos at rehab center has tested positive, 75-year-old man was admitted march 13th with a fever. his two initial roommates and staff who provide care are being monitored right now. the covenant care released a statement on its website that it will continue to operate by highest standards of safety. all staff and medical essential personnel and vendors are

screened prior to entry and all our facilities continue to prohibit visitors. firefighters who have tested positive for covid-19 have increased by 13 people. 75 others are monitored b monitr they were exposed to those who are sickened. three people staying in rvs at the san mateo event center are also tested for positive. temporary housing for people exposed to the virus not needing hospitalization. each rv is single occupancy, has a kitchen and bathroom. county health staff are monitoring medical needs for every person staying in the rvs. the undocumented community, employers are feeling financial pressure and laying people off. other only those undocumented

with work permits qualify for unemployment. we spoke to those who are united in providing help. >> reporter: heart of san francisco's mission district, a go-to spot for many in this community who want to feel closer to home. >> i'm actually very, like, concerned. >> reporter: jacqueline hernandez is hearing firsthand stories of many of her customers who used to work at restaurants and stores and are now out of work. some are undocumented and don't qualify for unemployment. >> another one had stopped working on her other job. also because of the coronavirus. and she's been working with us, but only for a few hours. >> reporter: they're getting calls every day for many in the undocumented community asking for help. >> a lot of housing insecurity, if they're going to have a home

next month. >> reporter: several day laborers who are concerned about the virus say they need the money to survive. this man showed us his wallet and said he hasn't worked in five days. just a dollar. >> this is my pay before. >> reporter: several san francisco nonprofits have partnered together to help. >> we're in the process of putting together a fund for relief services or financial assistance for those that are unable to apply for unemployment. >> reporter: now what is san francisco doing? according to the board of supervisors they're discussing ways to help the undocumented community, potentially in forms of grants for those who are unemployed. luz pena, abc 7 news. >> this weekend is a major test to see whether people are staying at home. chronicle insider and abc 7 news contributor joined us in the newsroom for some insight

hoarding of the toilet paper time and time again. this morning krfb pandemic is also creating another bathroom issue. abc 7 news issue dan ashley shows you this time it's because of wipes. >> reporter: this was the scene this morning at the novato sanitary district. there's no question what cause this had mess. >> we were basically faced with wipes that people have been flushing into their toilets and they made their way to this main treatment plant, basically ended up clogging that process and basically overwhelmed the system. >> reporter: wipes that do not break down in the sewage system have been a problem for years. with more people using wipes to protect themselves from the coronavirus, the problem is getting a lot worse. this is sewage bubbling up from a manhole cover in san rafael. >> we had nonflushables blocking the sewer and it caused a spill. >> reporter: experts say it's
