>> here's cases stand. there are 3100 cases, 86 people have died. santa clara county leads the bay area in confirmed cases with more than 1,000. and contra costa now with a skilled nursing facility outbreak is at 307 now first responders and the community saluted a fallen santa rosa police officer today. she was california's first law enforcement officer to die of covid-19. emergency vehicles from several agencies drove in a procession along highway 101 to honor santa rosa police detective mary lou armor. this is how that tribute to armor looked as they passed through. the 43-year-old arm served with santa rosa police department for more than 20 years. eight other santa rosa police officers have tested positive

for covid-19. people are providing food to people in need during this crisis. sky 7 flew above zanka road where volunteers loaded cars. today's line stretched more than half a mile. a group called hunger at home has provided more than 75,000 meals since march 19th. today was the first food give away at monument crisis center since the shelter in place was extended in may. employees there say amy hollenfield they're shocked at the number of people who showed up for food. >> this is a look at the need for food. the covid-19 pandemic has created. the executive director at monument crisis center in concord says she has never seen it this long. saying they served more than 100 families today in the first hour. the number of people that need help tripled. when that order was extended to

news. >> there is a backlog of nearly 60,000 covid-19 tests to be processed here in california. the i team dug into the data and discovered one processed fewer test thanksgiving california. melanie woodrojas the story. >> state officials say the number of covid-19 cases in california tops 10,000. more than 2,000 people hospitalized and approximately 900 people in the icu. but those numbers could be misleading because california is so far behind in testing. an abc 7 news i team analysis from the tracking project looked at testing across the 50 states and d.c. when standardizing for population differences per million people, california is 50th with approximately 33,000 covid-19 tests processed. only oklahoma tested left and came in 51st with 2,000 tests processed. new york is in first place having processed 239,000 tests.

now. they got up into the low 70s in a few locations like fairfield. the wind is playing a role in dropping the numbers. right now gusting to about 28 miles an hour at half moon bay. and 26 at sfo. it's a level one on our storm impact scale. exclusive to abc 7 news. we're talking about tomorrow and sunday it's going to be wet. rain first begins tomorrow. it turns windier with heavy rain sunday once again. sunday, monday is when we have the thunderstorm possibility along with hail and the snow level will be lowering during the two days. between 3500 and 4,000 feet. so don't be surprised if our highest peaks are coated with a light dusting of snow. hour by hour, the north bay is getting wet. the rain spreads. then the rain continues to switch over to showers for the afternoon. scattered showers sunday morning. becoming pockets, heavier in pockets for sunday afternoon. into the evening hours. and then more wet weather on monday. you'll notice all that snow coming down in the mountains.
