last week. >> i could have gone. i wanted to be with my mom. >> she tested negative for the coronavirus. but later contracted pneumonia. because of visitation restrictions she couldn't be there to comfort her mom. >> it must be hard. i never got to say good-bye. >> six days later came another challenge. of the 100 relatives who wished to be present at the funeral. she had to pick ten. >> it's really so hard. that was only time we saw her. >> a painful and necessary choice. loved ones wearing masks paying tribute. >> we have never seen anything like this in our lifetime. there's an average of 3 to 400 people every day. now it's very small group. >> a sight the funeral director has never seen in 50 years.

have them. san francisco said regardless, teachers are preparing for both online and non-online learning options beginning monday april 13. most districts will continue to mail the paper based learning material or hand them out. at sites that distribute food for students. this week oakland teachers back from the spring break without having a solid plan to support students remotely. that is due in part because there are still thousands of families without laptops. >> right now we're getting plans together to distribute devices. computers, chrome books that sort. to the students. we'll do that within the nec week. >> in addition the district is working with the teachers yin to determine acceptable working conditions and expectations for students. the union posted their demands. ballots will be sent out tomorrow. a vote is expected friday.

available. we have phone and text to help people dealing with relationship issues. >> the grand prin says ship is facing controversy back in the bay area. members of the national alliance for concerns protested as the ship docked in san francisco earlier today. they are out ranled the crew is on board calling the conditions inhumane. a crew member died four days ago in the hospital. more than 650 others are not being allowed to go home. the cruise says it's working to help the crew make safe travel plans. in the south bay we were in san jose where the sheriff office opened a coronavirus decontamination site for first responders. and other essential workers. it's located at training center on west heading street. the sheriff office says it's staffed with people who have been trained to properly decontaminate anyone who may have been exposed. the fire chief expressed his
