means you'll have immunity. if you have been exposed to the virus. we have the major antibody study out of stanford. >> the results are in. from 3,300 volunteers tested in california. just a finger prick. a drop of blood reveals if you have antibodies. left behind because you had the coronavirus. >> i'm so excited to talk to you. what can you tell us about what you found? >> he says at the time he did the testing official records show 1,000 cases of virus in the county. he says the study of the antibodies indicate the estimated number could be up to 80,000. >> is that more or less than expected? >> findings suggest there are about 50 and 85 more infections in the county. than what's known by the number of cases. than reported bid department of

do you feel that way still? >> absolutely. even more so. >> the very least the scientists have shown it's possible to move quickly. and carefully. and get real information right now. >> volunteers are in short supply. they are needed more than ever to keep essential services like food pantries open and operating. a retired nba star from oakland is rolling up his sleeves to help. it could not come at a more critical time. >> the longer the pandemic the longer the line. more struggling families show ip every day for free food. and social distancing that forced people out of jobs have left food banks and distribution sites without 40% of the volunteer work force. which is where coaching core stepped in.

>> great coaches don't leave kids in time of need. >> the ceo of the coaching core. oakland based mentors with low income kids. the mission changed. >> we were able to redeploy or asset. getting volunteers to meet immediate needs of communities. >> coaches are boxing up groceries for those hit hardest by the recession. a few months ago oakland native and retired nba player signed up to coach for the core. >> the one thing i know is basketball. >> when courts closed. coaching core connected him to e cap. >> handing out food. doing organizing. >> he actually grew up near the food life. i always come down here a couple times a week. and do some time. >> we're taking precautions. washing things down. wearing gloves and masks.

covid-19 pandemic has prosecutors to let sexual assault victims collect forensic evidence at home. instead of going to the hospital. the policy was changed after hospitals declare that examining rape victims is non-essential service. the new policy calls for a police officer to deliver a rape kit to a victim. a nurse helps the person complete the test by a zoom call. one defense attorney is alarmed. >> the idea of allowing a person to conduct an at home rape test kit is fraught with danger. >> we believe the evidence is going to be add admissible in court. it's up to the judge to decide. >> so far there's one case where a victim performed theirwn sexual assault test. >> it will offer free covid-19 test analysis for all of california. it comes after the recent

expansion of the university test processing capacity. since launching on march 20. the lab is able to process 2,600 samples per day. with results in 24 hours. that is certainly good news. li ctinues to lag in covid-19 testing. compared to other states. we break down the numbers. >> a news i team analysis of data from the covid-19 tracking project and state health department looked at processed covid-19 tests for the 50 states and d.c. standardizing for population difference per one million people. california ranks 48 rhode island rapg ranks first. and virginia ranks 51st with just 5,000 tests processed. california has been lagging in processed covid-19 tests for the last three weeks. ranking 50th on april 3.
