>> sticking to the plan which is stricter than the governor. allowing some retail stores to open may 18 with curb side pickup. a week and a half after the governor plan. the county is putting together a highly detailed three phase plan. officials say it could be months before it reaches the last phase. >> supervisors got an update on the county response to covid-19. health officer says the county is doing bter when it comes to the number of hospitalations and having enough beds to accept patients. the county needs to improve testing capacity. obtain more ppe and case and contact investigation. she was asked about the governors plan to allow some businesses to reopen friday. >> we are evaluating of course in our own community what we can and can't do. to ensure we protect residents and also of course looking to learn more about the proposal and the chapgs and state order.

>> porch pirates wearing n 95 masks grab this package. 20 minutes after it was delivered. two days prior over night also in oakland a woman broke into this apartment building and grabbed armfuls of mail. she left with all that mail. in a basket. >> there are many things of an attractive nature in the mail. >> stimulus checks, unemployment checks. tax refund. or medication. >> east bay management company says this theft was one of five their properties experienced between april 28 and may 4. mailbox break ins 200 units and 300 residents. >> it triggered a bunch of emotion that nobody needs right now. >> the mailboxes outside the apartment building were broken into a couple weeks ago. >> it's taped right now.

a bear rescue proves the power of a mother's love. three cubs got into trouble in the water. emergency crews say a water rescue was under way. by the cub's mother. one by one she swam each cub to safety. firefighters posted the video saying with mother's day approaching it was the perfect time to share the story. >> certainly. the bay area looks forward to getting back to business. here's a day in the life.
