looting, vandalism and multiple officers injured. this, after large violent protests in the bay area over the killing of george floyd. significant damage left behind to businesses already struggling during the coronavirus pandemic. good morning, everyone. it is saturday, may 30th. i'm liz kreutz. we have a lot to get to today. first, let's get a quick look at the weather. here is meteorologist lisa argen. hey, lisa. >> hey, liz. lightning lighting up the sky. little wet pavement out there. level one on our storm impact scale. gusty, southerly winds, showers and chance of thunderstorms. north of the bay area, check out all those lightning strikes. the most activity has been to the north of us.

as we go in closer, we've got rain along the coast, sea ranch, cloverdale. further to the east, clear lake, looking at some rain. hidden valley lake and more thunderstorms out towards i-5. to the south, very quiet. this could change throughout the day. mt. tam, look at the fog. low to mid 60s out there. gilroy, 57, though. calm picture here from the roof camera with cloudy skies and a few glimpses of sunlight there. 59, santa rosa, petaluma with low 60s, concord and livermore. we're mild today due to those winds. area of low pressure in the vicinity today to keep the winds breezy. chance of showers with us. you can see even the thunderstorm. activity will be in the higher elevations. it will be dying back throughout the afternoon. it will cool us off today, though. 60s and 70s. we'll talk about a much quieter sunday and a warmer week ahead. liz? >> lisa, thank you. we'll continue to follow the

protests in the east and south bay over the death of george floyd. he is the man who died in minneapolis police custody earlier this week. it sparked nationwide protests. in oakland, protests seemed to disperse around 1:30 this morning, about 5 1/2 hours after they first began marching. police say they're investigating an incident involving two contract security officers for the federal protective service who were shot. they say one of those officers has died from his injury. the other officer is in stable condition. the fbi said a person inside a vehicle began fighting gun shots at contract security officers. they are investigating to determine whether the shooting is related to the protests. protests were happening, though, in that area when the shooting happened. federal protective service, which falls under the department of homeland security, provides security and law enforcement

services at u.s. government facilities. oakland police say there are no current protests that are ongoing right now, but officers are still patroling the streets. protests turned violent after demonstrators clashed with oakland police last night and shut down interstate 880 for some time. you could even see them running on to the street, almost getting hit by cars. hundreds started marching around 8:00 last night. that's when they began. the demonstration escalated about an hour later when officers lined up to block police headquarters then sprayed tear gas as protesters set off fireworks and threw bottles. their condition is not known at this time but this is what it looked like at the start of the gathering. a peaceful protest at frank ogawa plaza. several people spoke before they began marching. and take a look at this. this is when things really took a turn. this is video from the

mercedes-benz dealership at broadway in oakland. protesters went on to set some of the cars on fire. they sprayed graffiti on some of those cars. no word yet on the cost of the damage to that building or to the cars. >> and looters broke into the target on broadway in oakland. you can see them breaking the glass outside that target inside they're looting. >> several cell phone videos are being posted on social media about the protests. luz pena has more on those out of oakland. >> reporter: many of these people have been using the #georgefloyd, many asking for revenge. many of the video i started seeing started around 3:00, many of them asking for them to meet at city hall in oakland. crowds began to meet at city hall and quickly spread into i-80 around 9:00 p.m. we have shocking video of

protesters walking into incoming traffic in hopes to stop the flow of cars going 60-plus miles per hour. here we see protesters almost getting hit by a chp officer. on the side of the freeway, protesters throwing heavy objects to the officers' cars as they avoided the crowds. let me show you this second video. after several minutes of taking over part of i-80, protesters began to walk down into the streets of oakland, where many can be heard saying, let's keep moving, let's keep moving and remember his name, george floyd, george floyd. let's continue to the next video. this next video, we can see a protester grabbing a chair and throwing it into this business. on the side we see protesters breaking a glass of chase bank in downtown oakland and see shattered glass on the ground as more protesters vandalize this bank. and then the fourth video, this crowd moved out on to vandalizing walgreens pharmacy that was nearby and broke into the store. there's video of several

protesters looting, and what seems like smoke inside this walgreens as crowds of people are rushing in. similar to those scenes in minneapolis of protesters looting and starting fires. luz pena, abc 7 news. >> this all began quite peaceful. abc 7 news anchor jobina fortsoo was in oakland and described the scene for us. >> reporter: everyone is moving alongside the streets, the crowds down here at 12th and broadway. i have to say for putting this all together today, so many people are here. everyone has on their masks. people are even trying to social distance themselves as we move down the road. people are emotional. they want to make sure that their message is heard, and i think that it's definitely getting across out here and continues to grow. we see people of all ages, all walks of life, coming down here from all over the east bay to

oakland to be here for this moment in history really. and it's not clear exactly where the crowd is marching to, just moving down the streets in oakland right now. and i'm seeing on the ground what you all are seeing right now. a lot of people heard about this on social media. it spread pretty quickly, that 8:00 would be the start time for this. as far as why people are here, i think black people, brown people, allies are all deeply frustrated and hurt by what they've been eeing across the country, not just with george floyd, and it's reached a breaking point. this is generations of issues that have gone on and not been addressed and now it's all coming to a head. yeah, people are cheering. people are happy. people are outside of their cars, supporting the movement, honking their horns as we continue down the road. the crowd is getting toward the square and the crowd is

specifically saying our street. i'll let you listen in for a minute, kate. [ crowd chanting ] >> that was jobina fortson reporting. new information we got from oakland police within the past hour, releasing preliminary information. they say 60 looters were detained for further investigation. 18 people were arrested by oakland police. four people were arrested by outside agencies. so, 22 arrests total. six oakland police officers were injured. seven outside agency law enforcement were injured. so 13 officers injured. in san jose, a large group of protesters clashed with police after shutting down highway 101 last night. that demonstration started out as a peaceful protest but tensions ran high.

a standoff you can see there. at one point, a protester charged at officers. eddie garcia took to twitter saying, quote, we will not tolerate lawlessness. several videos, including this one, were posted online showing an suv barreling through a crowd of protesters at 6th and santa clara streets. the person appears to be okay but we don't know the extent of any injuries. this video was posted around 9:20 last night. santa clara officers say at the same intersection a deputy was involveed in the shooting. they did not say if this was connected to the car or provide any further details. that deputy is okay. this is another thing we'll continue to monitor and bring you any updates as we get them. dan noyse was in san jose as police and protesters faced off. this is his dramatic report as

he was on air yesterday afternoon. >> reporter: here is a new thing, something that's happening right now. people are taking a knee. probably 40 people right now taking a knee right in front of the officers. >> we don't have that shot yet on sky 7. yes, now we see it. >> we see it. >> we've got it. we see it. >> reporter: so the protesters have decided best to take a knee and not move. you have probably 30 people across right in front of officers. and then behind officers, you have another, i'm guessing, 60 people also taking a knee shouting "i can't breathe." it has definitely escalated some. i've got to say, when you're just feet away from a flash bang grenade, it will get your attention. that's just what happened a few seconds ago. you can see a guy on the ground here. we've got to clear out a little bit. you see there's another flash

bang grenade. they are definitely -- police are escalating their response. they are taking more extreme measures to clear the protesters away. the protesters have picked up some of the tear gas, throwing it back at the police, going back and forth. like i say now, they're throwing tear gas in all different directions, over my head, down the street. the protesters are taking the tear gas canisters and throwing them back at the police officers. that is the sound of a flash bang grenade. that will do a very good job of clearing it out. my eyes are now burning from the tear gas. wow! >> sorry, dan. i've had that happen to me before. it's no fun. don't rub your eyes. it makes it worse, as you know. >> reporter: yeah, yeah. it's interesting. they aren't just going out at

the protesters right in front of them. they are firing off to the side over our heads as well. i just want to talk a little bit about what may have been the tipping point. whoa! that's a -- >> fire works. >> reporter: serious flash bang grenade now, dan. dan, i don't know if you can see this now, but there are protesters who are taking newspaper stands. >> yes, i was seeing that. >> reporter: they parked a car. >> it's like a barricade. >> reporter: the police are firing on them right now. >> yes. >> reporter: the police are firing the projectiles. now these are not live rounds but they're firing projectiles at the people who have taken a car and it looks like it's a -- whoa! it looks like it's a car they've outfitted before. there's a protest sign on the back of it. >> very intense scene from dan noyse reporting. >> take a look at this. a san jose police officer was injured and you can see he is

lying underneath the car, but he is moving. then three fellow officers, and it appears a bystander, dragged that officer to safety. wow! around 7:30 last night, handful of protesters brought traffic to a stop on the upper deck of the bay bridge. cars got moving quickly there but it's unclear where those protesters were headed. you can see there, traffic stopped but then slowly moving again. all right. we have much more to get to, especially with these protests that have now popped up in several cities across the country. we'll get to that when we get back. first, lisa, i know you're also following the weather and much different than we saw earlier this week, let's say. >> no, that's right. an area of low pressure off shore. this is mt. tam, from what you can see of it. winds over 20 miles an hour. gusts over 30 miles an hour. so offshore, plenty of thunder and lightning. will it make it onshore? what about your weekend? i've got the answers. quite a different story from today to tomorrow and then we're

>> all right. a long night of coast-to-coast protests. the former minneapolis police officer at the center of this is now facing third-degree murder charges. prosecutors are investigating if the other former officers involved will also face charges. abc news reporter karina mitchell has those details. >> reporter: another night of outrage and violence in minneapolis, following a black man dying while being pinned to the ground by a white police officer. 500 national guard soldiers deployed. an 8:00 curfew in place but crowds still on the street. >> the situation is incredibly dangerous. we, as a city, can be so much

better than this. there is no honor in burning down your city. >> reporter: all of this hours after former officer derek chauvin was arrested and charged with the murder of george floyd. >> please, please, i can't breathe. please, man. please. >> reporter: this video, sparking national outrage, showing chauvin digging his knee into floyd's neck while he was handcuffed. >> not resisting arrest or nothing. >> reporter: prosecutors say the defendant had his knee on mr. floyd's neck for 8:46 in total, 2:53 of this was after mr. floyd was nonresponsive. >> former minneapolis police officer derek chauvin has been charged by the county attorney's office with murder and with manslaughter. we are in the process of continuing to review the evidence there may be subsequent charges later.

>> reporter: abc affiliate kstp was there as floyd's girlfriend reacts to charges. >> this is a piece of justice, first piece, and it needed to -- it needed to be done. >> a police officer in louisville, kentucky, followed pepper bullets at a news crew. that's something if you haven't seen this video, it's pretty striking. take a look. [ screaming ] >> reporter: i'm getting shot. rubber bullets. rubber bullets. it's okay. it's those pepper bullets. they just shot me in the shin. at us. like directly at us. directly at us. why? i don't know. we are behind their line. >> that's a reporter and a crew for wave in louisville, kentucky. they are okay. the bullets are being used to disperse people that have been protesting for two days now.

it's unclear why they were directing them at a reporter. a spokesperson for the louisville metro police has since apologized and said it's not our intention to target the media as they are covering this. it comes after a cnn reporter was arrested yesterday while live on air. over in atlanta, the cnn center has been left damaged after protest there is turned violent. broken windows and spray painted messages on the building, and a car was set on fire before the scene was cleared. in new york city, violent protests continue there. this is what it looked like near barclay center yesterday in brooklyn. protesters burned and destroyed multiple police cars and several people were arrested. more than 100 protesters were detained outside the arena mainly for throwing bottles and other disturbances. about a dozen officers were hurt in the clashes with demonstrators. at least one person is dead in detroit. hundreds of people took over the

streets there as well and police have made several arrests. and in oregon, protests in portland have led the mayor to declare a state of emergency, saying the curfew ends at 6:00 a.m. this morning and starts up again tonight at 8:00. a lot going on. those are a few of the cities where there are protests overnight. it's hard to remember a time when we've seen this many simultaneous protests happening across the country. let's take a break for a moment and get a check from the weather with lisa. we're tracking thunder and lightning both of you and i saw and heard driving in this morning. >> it was pretty wild. heard the rumblings of thunder, saw them on the way in, and wet pavement out there. i certainly needed the wipers. you may not if you give it a little bit of time. most of the activity will be in the morning hours and to the north of us. we have a chance of thunderstorms over the higher elevations throughout the day and could see some scattered showers. look at what's going on right now.

live doppler 7. look at the lightning strikes all over the place from the sacramento valley, i-5 to the north of us and right along the coast there. and you can see a few of them slipping further south towards our sweep on mt. st. helena. as we go in closer from sea ranch to highway 101 to hopland, highway 1, some showers. further east, here is most of the activity. back westward toward knoxville and clear lake, looking at the possibility of thunderstorms. further to the south, not much happening at all. the rotation is from a counterclockwise area of low pressure that sits offshore. that is spinning up the energy. it will be doing that throughout the day. take a look. just a dynamic view here from the northern sacramento valley up through northern california and a few cells slipping to the south. there's the area of low pressure. it will continue to move to the north. and with it in the vicinity, we certainly will see the possibility of some showers and

thunderstorms. level one on our impact scale. walnut creek, what a view there. 62, san francisco. 66 in oakland. redwood city at 63. 64 in san jose. at 61 on the coast. another unbelievable picture here. check it out. just gorgeous out there. the sun coming out just before 6:00 and setting at around 8:20. a long day out there. it will be a bit unsettled. 62 by the delta. 63 in concord. livermore at 64. level one system bringing in the showers, gusty, southerly winds. san jose, clouds stacked up. throughout the day, we will see the possibility of some rain showers, but then a warmer pattern takes shape into the middle of next week. so, hour by hour, here are the showers. most of the activity well up to the north and then as we widen the perspective throughout the higher elevations of sacramento valley, the mountains but certainly could see a few storms pop up, say, around our east and north bay. we warm up on monday with 70s

and 80s inland. very pleasant day. look what happens tuesday. sizzling inland with very toasty weather. the warmest day inland should be wednesday. even warmer around the bay, into the 80s. rainfall amounts today anywhere from trace amounts, couple hundredths in richmond, a tenth in livermore if you get one of those thunderstorms and a third of an inch down to ben loman. breezy winds, mostly cloudy skies. a few peeks of sun in the east bay. level one system today. showers, maybe a thunderstorm. windy and it's calmer tomorrow with some sun out there. mix of clouds as well with the numbers warming up throughout the early part of the week. we're getting a little toasty tuesday and wednesday. cooling off by the end of next week. liz? >> sounds good. thanks, lisa. just ahead how former 49ers quarterback colin kaepernick

overnight, but let's start this half hour, if you're just joining us, with a quick look at the weather. here is meteorologist lisa argen. >> maybe you heard a few rumbles of thunder, saw some lightning and smelled some of that rain outside. a level one system today for scattered showers, gusty, southerly winds and scattered thunderstorms. sacramento valley, wow, lots of lightning. a few of these lightning strikes drifting further to the south. right now you can see from navarro up toward hopland well to the north, some showers. thunderstorms are in the vicinity, but clear lake just looking at some showers, but not a whole lot going on to the south. maybe a few light showers or sprinkles. we're going to keep it in the forecast, that level one system. there's walnut creek. the clouds, 66 in oakland, 64 in san jose. beautiful view here from our east bay hills camera, where it is 59, santa rosa, and 63 in concord. warmer start with the gusty, southerly winds.

they'll be with us throughout the day. we'll see gusts over 30 miles an hour at mt. tam. 60s and 70s as you get toward 11:00 and 12:00. showers around. possibility of a thunderstorm stays with us throughout the day. maybe a tenth of an inch of rain. otherwise, things quiet down tonight for a dry evening. a quieter sunday with more sun and some heat is coming back into play for next week. details in a few minutes. liz? >> thanks, lisa. president trump facing outrage over his tweets after oosing the phrase "when the looting starts the shooting starts." the president explaining his words yesterday, saying he did not know the history of that phrase. his explanation comes after joe biden offered his own message to the nation and his reaction to the president's words. here is abc news chief white house correspondent jonathan carl with details. >> thank you very much. thank you. >> reporter: president trump called a press conference, but he abruptly walked out without

saying a single word about the growing of anger over the death of george floyd. with the streets of minneapolis ablaze, he seemed to call for violence, tweeting "these thugs are dishonoring the memory of george floyd and i won't let that happen." he said the military was ready adding, quote, any difficulty and we will assume control, but when the looting starts, the shooting starts. and with that, the president echoed a phrase with a racist past. one used in the late 1960s by miami's then police chief who called for violence against african-american rioters. the president also took aim at minneapolis' mayor, calling him the very weak radical left mayor jacob frey. mayor responded in a middle-of-the-night news conference. >> weakness is pointing your finger at somebody else during a time of crisis. donald trump knows nothing about the strength of minneapolis. we are strong as hell. >> reporter: twitter declared the president's tweet about shooting looters a violation of its rule against glorifying violence. the president tried to get around that by posting the same

words on the white house's official twitter account. twitter marked that tweet, too. meanwhile, joe biden addressed the country with live remarks from his home, saying he had spoken to george floyd's family. >> we see plainly that we're a country with an open wound and none of us can turn away. none of us can be silent. none of us can -- any longer can we hear the words "i can't breathe" and do nothing. >> reporter: biden then condemned the president's tweets. >> you know, this is no time for incendiary tweets. it's no time to encourage violence. this is a national crisis. we need real leadership right now. >> reporter: former president obama also weighed in saying, quote, for millions of americans being treated differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly normal. adding that the country needed to move on to, quote, a new normal in which the legacy of bigotry and unequal treatment no

longer infects our institutions or our hearts. the current president finally spoke to the cameras, saying he, too, had talked to the family of george floyd. >> well, i just expressed my sorrow. that was just a horrible thing to witness and to watch. and it would certainly look like there was no excuse for it. >> reporter: jonathan carl, abc news, the white house. floyd's death was the first thing governor gavin newsom talked about yesterday before updating us to the latest state response to the coronavirus pandemic during his briefing. the governor got emotional when sharing how his young children reacted to video of the arrest. abc news reporter stephanie ciara has that story. >> reporter: in a unique daily briefing, governor gavin newsom started with sharing a personal story of how his kids learned about the death of george floyd. his 10-year-old daughter sharing a video on tiktok. >> she was tearing up because she knew it was wrong. my son, 8 years old, said it's not just wrong, dad.

it's worse than wrong, he said, because bad people are supposed to be bad, but good people are supposed to be good. that's what makes this wrong. >> reporter: a solemn start to a typically busy briefing, but this time the governor's message focused on addressing racism dividing our country. >> i don't have to raise my kids like my friends' kids are raised and so many other millions of americans' kids are raised. if you're in a car, pull over, put your hands on the wheel. not to go out with a hoodie on. >> reporter: it didn't take long for that discussion of race to transition to covid-19. the issues of race, the issues of racism, the issues are a big part of the real work that we have in front of us as it relates to addressing the issue of public health, public safety and economic growth. >> reporter: the governor clearly highlighting how covid is disproportionately affecting minority populations, demanding

testing be prioritized in diverse and rural communities across the state. >> the number of deaths substantially, in percentage terms, substantially higher in the black community and in the african-american community. it's a point to highlight. and it's an incredibly important point about the structural challenges that we have as a state and a nation. >> reporter: while these trends are visibly similar across the nation, it doesn't mean the response to address them can be universal. >> each county has a little bit of a different story from vermont to virginia. and nobody would expect vermont and virginia to behave the same. they aren't. >> reporter: neither is any county in california, but as a state, we are making progress in testing capacity, contact tracing and access to personal protective equipment. >> we bought time. we bent this curve. in fact, we didn't bend it. we never allowed that curve to take off like other parts of this country. >> reporter: stephanie ciara, abc 7 news. i want to get back to the

protests overnight over the death of george floyd. abc 7 news's assignment reporter is in oakland right now. >> i saw that. >> reporter: around the federal building where a federal service officer was killed. he joins us live on the phone right now. jim, do you hear me? it's liz, jim. >> oh, excuse me. liz? >> hi, jim. we're live on the air this morning. you're in oakland. thank you for joining us this morning. tell us what you're seeing. >> reporter: liz, i was just talking to a manager for a company called commercial property services, and he's down here, checking out his property at jefferson and 14 street, and well they've completely spray painted the front of it, and it's a construction site. and so i'm not seeing a lot of broken glass right here where i am. i'm sorry that i was talking to him when this started. let me give you a scene setter here. i'm at jefferson and 14th street

in downtown oakland. this is a huge area at the federal building. it's just a block or two away from oakland city hall. and this is where the fbi has closed off jefferson street between 14th and 12th. i count 30 or 40 fbi s.w.a.t. team members. they are doing their investigation about the killing of a security guard here at the federal building last night that happened around 9:45 or 10:00. we've seen that press release from the fbi that they are actively investigating this and so there are armored vehicles here. this is -- the s.w.a.t. team is here. they are carrying, you know, heavy weapons and they're taking pictures, and this is a crime scene here. so, that's at least the scene right here at the federal

building. windows are also broken on ground level over on clay street. i saw in the federal building many, many broken windows. and so it's just cordoned off. you can still walk on the sidewalk. oakland is slowly coming to life this morning. it's gray over here today. and i can also describe the damage that i saw on broadway, which was remarkable. the walgreens that's down at about 12th and broadway is completely trashed. windows broken, completely vandalism. there's broken glass everywhere along broadway, and i haven't gotten my full tour of that yet. i saw a heavy oakland police presence in downtown oakland. the thing that really you see

the most, many buildings, because of the pandemic, were boarded up. businesses that were closed or, you know, trying to protect things. and the spray painting down here is like something that i've never seen before. i have been down here before after nights of disturbances, but everywhere you look, there is graffiti with four-letter words. some of the slogans, you know, that you're used to seeing. it's really unbelievable. oakland has not been hit this hard by vandals in -- or by protesters in, you know, three, four, five years. >> jim, that's what i wanted to ask you. for those of us just joining us, this is jim huntington, abc 7 news assignment manager, who has worked at kgo for years and decades, lived in oakland for years, very familiar with the area. can you remember the last time

something like this happened to this extent here in oakland? >> reporter: you know what, liz? it's been -- it's been, i want to say, at least four or five years. and i can't be specific about it. >> yeah. >> reporter: you know, there were various things that there have been -- >> occupy oakland, right. >> reporter: i can recall lots of vandalism at places, but no. my first impression was i see this is like, wow. >> right. >> reporter: this goes all the way up from broadway from the police station is at 7th. i'm also hearing that the target store, which is up near 26th or 27th and broadway, was also trashed. so that's, you know, 20 blocks of just graffiti and broken glass. i saw a specialty cafe, pete's

[ inaudible ] >> hotel in downtown oakland at jefferson and 14th and i'm just here to assess the damages. our building is not too bad, thank goodness, yet. it took a hit. my guys are coming out. we're going to get them boarded up and do the best we can to protect our property. >> reporter: what have you seen since you've been down here? >> oh, my god. driving through town was crazy. trashed. windows blown out, walgreens building trashed, windows blown out. throughout the city, the whole neighborhood is torn up, motor sipsych les burned up in the middle of the street. >> reporter: yeah. >> it's ridiculous. it's a sad state of affairs that this is what it comes to.

you. area of low pressure offshore, bringing rumbles of thunder, flashes of lightning. i had to use my wiper this is morning and liz did, too. right now, boy, what can you see out there from our walnut creek camera? lot of fog. we have had most of the activity well in the north bay. i'm sure you heard some of it if you live up in marin county, sonoma, napa wind gusts today, breezy out there, anywhere from 18 to 22 miles an hour out of the south through noon and then through about 6:00. it's still breezy. after that, the winds will dial back, the system fade as way and we're getting into a calm night. this morning, it is pretty active offshore, well to the north of us, but right over the bay area. a lot of cloud cover. breezy winds. not a whole lot going on. look at that lightning as we move in closer to the north bay. it's rain up toward ukiah. we've had lightning strikes. right now from mendocino. look at the sacramento valley, though, lit up with dangerous

thunderstorms from chico to red bluff down through blue canyon. very active day in the valley. further to the south, looking at some scattered light showers, perhaps, from san mateo to 80 sanford and perhaps toward fremont. otherwise as we widen the view, you can see the activity. it's an area of low pressure offshore and rotating around that low is that very active weather, mainly to the north of us. but it is still a level one system we're going to keep with us throughout the day as this area of low pressure is on the move and as it continues to move to the north, we'll see less in the activity of rain but the possibility of thunderstorms stays with us throughout the day. here is a foggy view of san francisco. 62 in the city. 66 in oakland on the peninsula, in the low 60s and a beautiful shot here. our east bay with the dark clouds and little bit of sun out there. 59, santa rosa. napa, fairfield, concord in the lower 60s. level one system throughout the day today, scattered showers,

breezy winds. the possibility of a thunderstorm or two. the shark tank with the cloud cover stacked up. so, throughout the morning hours, the most activity. throughout the afternoon, little heating of the day with some sun. we definitely could see a thunderstorm. we're seeing some breaks of sun throughout the afternoon in the east bay and the south bay. and as we go hour by hour, you'll see the clouds dominate most of the sky and the activity mostly to the north, but we certainly could see a hit or miss storm. you can see the spine of the sierra also pretty activity throughout the day today. amounts range from a couple of hundredths to a tenth. ben loman could see about an inch. mid to upper 60s in the city, low 70s to the north with cloud cover, maybe a thunderstorm and here is where things get more interesting as we look at our accuweather seven-day forecast. we certainly bring in a little more sun the next few days and
