those who do not follow the order? >> so it is a vehicle code violation, what we will say we will be very judicious in the way we use it. >> essential activities will continue. luz pena, abc 7 news. a short time ago, we also learned a santa clara county superior court will be closed tomorrow, partially because of the curfew and for safety concerns. we've been tracking the looting across the bay area, since early this afternoon. sky 7 capturing arrest and the damage left behind at several malls. abc 7 news reporter jr stone joins us live from the newsroom and what's the situation look like now, jr? >> reporter: eric, it is a very active one, as i speak. now, after the curfew went into that crowd out of the area, near city hall. but within the last hour, things have gotten busy here in the city. this curfew is currently in

effect. san francisco police with several individuals detained just after 10:00 p.m., near sixth and market. the latest in what has been a very active night all across the bay area. this looting caught on video at the bayfair mall in san leandro around 8:45 sunday night. dozens of people storming into the designer shoe warehouse, and the ulta beauty location next door, looters going in and out for several minutes, and no sign of police that they did. so officers would eventually make it to the store. most if not all of the looters had left the area. the looting started well before that in walnut creek, just before 6:00 p.m., looters fighting amongst each other, for the clothes they had just taken. eventually, packing the items into their car, and driving off. the target store on main street, and the macy's store on broadway plaza hit by looters. we were there as officers arrived and made their way into the store through the broken glass.

just after 6:30 in the evening, reports of looting came in at the best buy in pleasant hill. when we arrived, you could see the heavy police presence. to oakland we go. just past 7:00 p.m. a sky 7 arrived, on a dozen looters that stormed out of the shoe palace location, and some packing their cars and hitting the road. but not everyone got away. at least one arrest was made. and it was all caught on video. you can see, as the man's hands are up in the air. while hundreds of people were involved in a peaceful rally sunday afternoon, in san francisco, just after 8:00 p.m., dozens of officers in riot gear cleared that area away from city hall. >> and mayor london breed was in the mission district of san francisco this afternoon, involved in a peaceful rally, for george moment that angered her when white protesters showed up outside her homerday. >> all white people yelling black lives matter protesting in front of my house. that didn't bother me as much as

a san jose police officer has been taken off the street and now under an internal affairs investigation, after video surfaced of him appearing to taunt protesters on friday. abc 7 i-team reporter, dan has been digging into the controversy, and dan joins us now with the story. >> reporter: there are two videos of the officer that have exploded on twitter and tonight, they had an impact at san jose city hall. friday in san jose, 33-year-old san jose police officer jared appears ready for action, swaying with his projectile launcher, his demeanor draws a reaction from the crowd. >> they have a smile on their faces. >> he runs away and back and says -- >> andrea pritchett is a founding member of berkeley cop watch. >> he was escalating an already making it worse, and thus endangering members of the public. >> reporter: in a second video, a woman asks him, why are you on that side? he answers --

after. massey says that it was even scarier once she got outside because there were more looters and more cars speeding everywhere. thousands of people joined together in oakland during a car caravan demanding justice for george floyd. sky 7 shows us the cars lined up near the port of oakland this afternoon, and that line went on for miles and miles. drivers headed from the port into downtown, some of those cars, you can see there, had signs on them. they drove around lake merit, where cyclists and walkers then joined. and organizers say they're not just protesting for floyd, but also for all black people who have died at the hands of police. that protest was peaceful, and as you can hear, loud. >> cleanup efforts will continue across parts of san francisco, this week, after this weekend's protests led to violence and looting. most doors on maple lane and grant street in jowere hit by ls and the swarovski crystal store

we can fix all of these windows. we can bring these businesses back and they will be stronger, we've gone through this before, but let's treat people well and let's focus in on the human cost and not so much on property. a local business owner in oakland says looters hit this chevron early this morning. he provided surveillance video to abc 7 showing people stealing from the store. he says he lost 50% of his business, due to the pandemic. and this is just not fair. >> a chase bank and a mercedes-benz dealership were among businesses that were vandalized and some looted. friday night, along broadway and in oakland's chinatown neighborhood. police say they're using surveillance camera footage and other evidence to identify 40 to 60 looters. the fbi says it is taking a lead in the investigation into the killing of a federal protective service security officer, at a downtown oakland courthouse frooit friday night.

53-year-old david patrick underwood from pinol after being shot by a gunman in a passing van. another security officer was wounded. the fbi says teams are scouring the area for evidence. a memorial to underwood has gone up outside the courthouse guard station. you can still see. so bullet holes there. a department of homeland security official called this killing an act of domestic terrorism. time now to check in with drew tuma and get the forecast. drew? >> yes, and we're going to find over the next couple of days, eric and dion, hotter temperatures will make another comeback. thankfully this next round of heat is not nearly as long or as intense as last week's heat wave. live doppler 7, along with the satellites showing hanging on to cloud cover overhead. mostly cloudy skies do continue. and that is having an impact on our continues right now. we have been very slow to cool off. after our highs in the 60s and the 70s. in fact, some cities are still in the 60s right now.

61 in concord. and same in san jose. we're at 56. in the city. and 60 in oakland. and 55 in santa rosa. half moon bay one of the cooler spots at 52 degrees. live doppler 7, along with the satellite, you can see a lot of cloud cover, moving into northern california. a little bit of moisture in the atmosphere. not enough to create any rain. but it keeps that muggy influence overhead tonight. we will see drier skies prevailing. and clearer skies prevailing tomorrow afternoon. so overnight tonight, stars and clouds out there. numbers falling into the low and mid 50s overnight tonight. you can see only dropping about five or so degrees from where we are right now. not all that chilly for this time of the year. and looking at the day tomorrow, we will break it down. we start out with a lot of cloud cover, fog along the coast, for our monday, and then we will find decreasing clouds, throughout the morning, so the afternoon, looking much different, a lot of sunshine, and clear skies, and temperatures warmer than today, in the 70s, and mid-80s. away from the coast.

so a close look at highs, 83 in concord, with a lot of sunshine in the afternoon tomorrow, and 78 in san jose. about 82 in santa rosa, the city will be breezy tomorrow. 67 with afternoon sunshine. and 72 in san mateo, and the same in oakland. now, future tracker temperatures will find those numbers just continue to excel. tuesday afternoon, the hottest spots going well into the mid 90s, and by tuesday afternoon, even close to the coast, we're in the 70s, and if not mid-80s. and it looks like wednesday, it will be the hottest day we have, all week. but we're getting very close to 100. in our hottest cities by wednesday. even in oakland, we're in the mid-80s. and 90s expected in the south bay and in the city approaching the upper 70s. rather warm on wednesday. thankfully we have a sea breeze on thursday and that is going to help to eliminate some of the heat along the coast and around the bay. the accu-weather seven-day forecast, for the next seven days, morning clouds, to sun, on your monday. and much warmer tuesday, and

breaking news. a live look at sky 7 of what is going on at a shopping mall in san leandro. we watched for the last few minutes as car after car pulled up and began looting a home depot here. multiples of people going inside and coming out with merchandise, throwing it into their cars, and driving often.

and as they would leave, more people would arrive, to take their place. but now, we see poli v scene. code three. with their lights flashing. there was also a ross, a clothing store, nearby, that appeared to be getting hit as well. there's a couple of helicopters flying around the scene. and right now, it looks like the perpetrators of the looting there have left. the police are still on the lookout for anybody who might still be there. any stragglers who might still be there. and of course, we will keep you informed. we want to move on now to a show of solidarity today from napa's police chief. you can see right here, in the middle of your screen, the chief took a knee along with a group of protesters. napa police tweeted photos showing the chief meeting with demonstrators and the department wrote, we are with you. police say the demonstration at main and third street was peaceful. as you can imagine, there were other protests thatday, including one in the east bay,

and donating $1 million to local and national organizations that are creating change. the owner jed york released a statement in part that said before we are impactful change we must first have the courage and come pats as human beings to come together and acknowledge the problem. back in 2017 they matched a $1 million donation with colin cap per neck to bay area charities that looked at the situation. jaylen brown drove 15 hours to be in his home state of georgia and he had this message on instagram live as he marched through a peaceful protest. this is a peaceful protest. raising awareness of some of the injustice we've been seeing. it is not okay to have a young person, you got to listen to our perspective. our voice needs to be heard. 23 years old. i don't know all the answers. but i feel like everybody else
