sign an executive order focused on police reforms later today. incents have police agencies across the country to adopt best practices on use of force and share information about misconduct and respond to nonviolent calls with the help of social workers. this executive order will not push for outright bans on certain debehavior like no-knock warrants and roll back protections under qualified immunity. alex presha, abc news, washington. the owners of stamp bar and grill are having to defend themselves and even dodge dozens of death threats after a video surfaced accusing them of being racist. the post shows a man wearing a hat dining on saturday and heckling at a group of peaceful protesters and demonstrators that were marching past during a black lives matter rally. his server condoned the man's

behavior and even gave him a high five but the server says just the opposite. >> i went to the table and i told him, shut up and leave immediately. >> i don't know if i need to close my doors tomorrow. i don't know if someone is going to break into my home. i don't know if someone is throwing rocks at my restaurant right now. >> the owners say they are terrified of closing again because they already lost roughly half a million dollars during this stay-at-home period. the number of covid-19 cases in california has thankfully stabilized but the governor says it is a real threat. the number of infected people in the hospital has remained steady over a two-week period. only 4.5% people tested have been positive for coronavirus. as the state reopens, we'll see an increase in cases, but he saysple to stay isolated any longer actually threatens their physical and mental health as well as finances. a few new countywide

for diversity. their push to bring back programs that have been banned for 24 years. but, first, meteorologist mike nicco is tracking what we can expect weather wise for our day ahead. good morning, mike. >> good morning, kumasi. hi, everybody. let's look at what is going on with your temperatures along the east bay shore. 52 in castro valley the cool spot. oakland 60 warm spot. most of us around 55 to 57 degrees and else where temperatures are maybe a degree or two milder than yesterday. a lot of mid to upper 50s and antioch and brentwood are cooler than yesterday right at 60. here's a look at san jose and a few clouds and 58 degrees. driving is going to be a lot like yesterday, except for it's a little breezier early this morning. and the bridges will be most susceptible to those breezes during the afternoon and evening commute and so will the bay water. here's a look at your temperatures today. low to mid 60s through 10:00 in the south bay and hit low 70s at noon and hang there through 6:00

and notice the fastest winds around 4:00 to 6:00 and up in the north bay, 59 at 8:00. 10:00 we're at 68. from noon all the way to 6:00, mid to upper 70s with full-on sunshine and then let's take a look at the east bay valleys. you're going to notice more sunshine here than yesterday with temperatures through 70 and by 8:00 we're down to a very comfortable 71 degrees. altamont pass gusting up to 60 miles per hour. dangerous in our higher elevations. what are you seeing? >> chp issued a high-wind advisory for the altamont pass. here at the golden gatelitt bit median barrier and that has been picked up. take a look at the san mateo bridge, if we can find it.

be ready to strike a plea deal. he is set to plead guilty to 13 murders and dozens of rape and kidnapping charges at a hearing set for june 29th. he would receive a life sentence as part of this agreement. deangelo is 74 years old. the crimes occurred in the 1970s and 1980s. dna recovered from old rape kits led to deanglo's arrest in 2018 and accused of four rapes in contra costa county. the supreme court rejected the trump administration's bid to throw out a california immigrant sanctuary law by a 7-2 vote the justices left in place a lower court ruling which limits local police cooperation with federal immigration authorities. california argued that encouraging local police to participate in federal immigration enforcement makes people less likely to report crimes if they believe they will be deported. the university of california

is pushing back on affirmative action. california voters approved proposition 209ac in1996 and that bans the state from giving preferential treatment based on race, ethnicity or sex as a way to promote diversity. a measure to reveal the proposition and restorm affirmative action passed the state assembly last week. now it moves to the state senate where it will have to pass with a two-thirds majority and lawmakers have until june 25th to make a decision. if approved, it would appear on a november ballot. we know this pandemic has hit us all in so many different ways but especially difficult for countless unseen seniors, people who are shut in and kids who suddenly don't have enough to eat. abc7 news reporter wain friedman has the story of a nonprofit in the right place at the right time. >> reporter: a study a potential chaos contained by a chef's vision and organizational skills. >> my food is my calling card. >> reporter: chad and his

goodern morning, everybody. it is tuesday, june 16th. good morning, reggie and good morning, mike, because you're giving us an update on our forecast for today. >> we'll start off by taking a look at live doppler 7 and good morning. it will show a little bit of wind out there about 12 miles per hour at fairfield and 12 at san carlos and 24 at half moon bay and retreated to the normal areas this morning. you can see the flags on the ferry building and the wind is temperatures running a couple degrees milder and hardly noticeable and mid up toer 50s at 7:00. we will hang out around 60 at the coast. not much warming for our bay from noon to 4:00. 70 to nd everybody back in the 60s by 7:00. we do have a heightened fire danger and i'll show you that and some really hot temperatures coming for a couple days in the
