the city says the tomorrow or sunday while it searches for a new operator. the economy is one of the four areas we focus on at abc 7 as we work to build a better bay area amid the coronavirus pandemic. the san francisco zoo says that it needs to jen ragenerate reve continue operations. and this is video from the zoo showing some of the safety guideline misplace as it prepares to reopen. right now, the zoo falls under the category of businesses set to reopen on july 15th. but zoo officials are backing last night's move by the board of supervisors to ask the state for local control so it can decide when to reopen businesses. >> it allows us to set a time line of reopening that is connected to what we're seeing in san francisco as opposed to just having to follow whatever the state tells us. >> admissions revenue accounts for more than 70% of their operating budget.

let's take a look at what will happen for our father's day weekend. we'll take a look at the temperatures and start with friday. and what you will see, there is still plenty of summer warmth, low to mid-70s ash saround san francisco, still 90s hanging on in the south bay and east bay. saturday we'll drop about 3 to 5 degree, just a few 90s out there still in our inland neighborhoods. but z60s in san francisco, 75 i oakland. but look at father's day, the heat starts building again with low to mid-90s inland. and 70s and 80s around the bay. just not going to shake this summer pattern the next several

investigated as the possible cause of a massive explosion and fire that destroyed two buildings in marin county. it happened yesterday morning in downtown stensonbeach. debris flu through tew through e shrapnel. highway 1 which runs right through the downtown area was closed most of the day, two people suffered minor injuries. in all, eight buildings were damaged. neighbors in the area say the explosion felt like be an earthquake. and the san francisco district attorney is suing doordash saying that the company illegally classifies its delivery workers as independent contractors instead of employees. the lawsuit seeks restitution and asks them to reclassify workers. a driver released a statement saying that politicians are clueless and out of touch. he said the legal action could result in the loss of work. after months o n beingceonse
