jobina fortson has more about what is at stake in today's hearing. >> good morning. joseph deangelo is set to confess. his court hearing will be held in sacramento county. deangelo is being a causesed of crimes from 1973 through 1986 across more than a dozen california counties. it started with early bedroom ransackings and a murder in the san joaquin value authorities spent 40 yearsrcng for him, also known as the "east area rapist." he is a former police officer and arrested in 2018 thanks to dna technology. he is expected to plead guilty to avoid the death penalty. proceedings are expected to start at 9:30 this morning. also more than 150 victims and their relatives are expected to attend. ment hearing will be held in the ball room at sacramento state and that is so that we can lieu

abc7news.com. this update comes after he ordered bars in seven california counties to reclose. part of the effort to build a better bay area is focused on the economy including reopening as well as your health. and the list of counties forced to close bars includes fresno, imperial, kern, tulare and los angeles. he says that the virus is spreading too quickly. and the order applies to bars, breweries and pubs that do not serve be citizen dositdown and he is also is recommending that bars close in these counties that you see on the map. and some are adjusting reopening plans because of the case spike. san francisco has delayed reopenings including salons, outdoor bars and museums.

it has cleared, but this is video from earlier showing the vehicle involved being loaded on to a tow truck. according to the chp, it looks like a high rate of speed was the cause for 24 crash. it looks like there was only person one person inside the vehicle when it overturned and that person was rushed to the byron airport which is not far away from the scene, but before the person could be air lifted, they died in the ambulance. so that is the latest from the chp. the area has cleared. back out live, everythinging else around the bay area for the most part has been looking pretty good this morning. checking in here with a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza, metering lights came on as 5:54 this morning. and also a heads up to b.a.r.t. riders. the civic center station is going clipper card only starting today. b.a.r.t. has been moving to clipper card only sales for quite a while, but they sped up
