let's say we break down the day by looking at the day planner. even though temperatures will be well above average, at least at night we still fall back into the 50s and 60s up in the hills. so the higher you are, the warmer you'll be duringhe you can see already by noon, temperatures are at our average highs and we still have several

relative humidities. and that means fires will start easily. let's take a look at the fog forecast and you can see just like has been the case so far this week, it goes away quickly. a couple of hours into the sunset and we're already out of here. and you can see just how hot it gets this afternoon. look at the 90s down in the south bay. and the rest of the south bay in the mid to upper 80s. the breezes will keep the heat at bay, but still 77 to 85 on the peninsula. and mid to upper 60s along the coast this afternoon. if we didn't have the breezes, imagine how much warmer it would be in downtown, south san francisco, already reaching low to mid-70s there. we have 78 in sausalito. a few 80s around san rafael and novato. everybody else in the low to mid-90s in the north bay valleys. east bay shore, breezes keep us around 80 to 84 degrees. and that is warmer than average. imagine also if we didn't have the breezes there. and look at the low to upper 90s in the east bay valleys. good news, we're back in the 50s
