because the tree took down power lines. former "mythbusters" host grant imahara has died. he was an electrical engineer, a robotics experts who had also worked in special effects for lucasfilm. among his numbers there were some of the "star wars" and "matrix" films and "galaxy quest" and appeared on more than 200 episodes of "mythbusters" on the discovery channel. "the hollywood reporter" says imahara died aftof a brain aneurysm. he was 49. southern california, officials are certain the body they found in a lake is that of missing actress naya rivera. the actress has been missing for almost a week. her last act was saving her young son's life. andrea fujii has more. >> reporter: this morning a tragic end to the search for actress naya rivera. the ventura county sheriff's office confirming that the body found in lake piru is her six days after taking her son out for a boat ride. rivera was last seen in this surveillance video heading out on a rented pontoon boat.

the search began after she didn't return as scheduled and her 4-year-old son josey was found alone on the boat asleep authorities launching dive teams, drones and helicopters searching the difficult terrain. family, friends and "glee" co-stars holding hands monday a body was found. the sheriff said rivera's son told them he and his mom went for a swim and she boosted him back on the boat but when he looked back, rivera had disappeared under the water. >> the idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting, it was unanchored and she mustered enough energy to get her son back on the boat but not enough to save herself. ♪ here i am >> reporter: the 33-year-old was best known for starring as santana lopez on the hit television series "glee," but long before that she began her career as a child actor appearing in a number of

earlier i spoke with dr. alok patel about how those delays can complicate controlt firsked abo ongoing debate over re-opening schools. as a pediatrician what do you think about how approaching these decisions by lawmakers and what are your biggest concerns about schools re-opening? >> off the bat, the thing i do not want to see which we unfortunately are is that re-opening schools is becoming politicized. just to check the boxes of victory saying we will open the is is not a one size fits all solution and every single school and every single county in this country needs to adopt an individualized approach. we now know that the virus is hittingha and smoking plays a part in the risk. what's the connection here? >> so we know that smoking is going to increase anybody's risk of severe illness and/or

hospitalization. we got to encourage people to stay away from smoking and e-cigs right now. >> let's talk about testing. demand for test is soaring but turnaround time is getting longer. what concerns you about this? >> the number one concern about delays in testing is people don't know what to do after they've gotten tested especially if they don't have symptoms or they're just looking to see if they're maybe an asymptomatic carrier. if you don't have a test result then we're not able to test, isolate and trace, that's key. >> the world health organization said monday there are at least 23 vaccines being tested on people and 137 more being studied in labs. does this give you hope? >> it does. it gives the entire scientific community hope. you know, the vaccine development right now is moving at an unprecedented pace. one thing that is optimistic is that there's several different vaccines going towards the goal line in different forms. and i think it would be a good thing if we had multiple vaccines actually going to that phase 3 trial and going out to distribution. >> our thanks to dr. patel there.
