with lights being pointed at the police building. oakland police are reporting their building was also vandalized. they're showing this picture of a broken window. they were also spray-painted with graffiti. at the courthouse in downtown oakland, a fire broke out. firefighters got it out quickly, but in a tweet, they blamed it on, quote, agitators. the wall of mom als m inupf of el camino real across from the main entrance. the wall of moms group was formed to shield young and vulnerable protesters, keep them safe and it's been prevalent in portland. in portland last night marked the 59th night of protests in a

investigation into the police shooting of sean they have repeatedly asked the d.a. to investigate. the d.a. kristen adams has recused herself, citing public mistrust. he said if it isn't opened tonight, he will file a mandate tomorrow forcing an investigation. this comes after gruesome body camera footage was released in the shooting. the state's attorny general's office says it is only investigating destruction in the case but not the shooting itself. the organizer's sister is organizing paddle o o o m monterrosa at noon today. there will also be a car caravan bay, aaryithe

from residents reporting this illegal activity and hindering officers' ability to respond to critical incidents. james is among those who say his family is highly concerned for their safety. >> it's scary. the last two weeks we heard over a hundred gunshots. and the police never came. >> reporter: gunshots, that according to this resident, make his neighborhood sound like a war zone. >> this last one was like assault rifles, back and forth. they're shooting at people back and forth in cars. >> reporter: police say they identify these four intersections as the most problematic areas where tire marks, fireworks and burned tir police estimating approximately 100 vehicles and at least 300 people involved in these side shows at any given time. this police department now vowing to crack down on these side shows, and announcing an amplified group of resources

welcome back. here's a live look at the texas coast on galveston beach that is freshly coming out of hurricane hanna this morning. pretty calm look, all things speaking. it's now weakening over the southern tip of texas but bringing 50-mile-per-hour winds and heavy rainfall. lisa will have a check on the storm in just a bit. he was a fixture on television for decades. long-time tv host regis philbin has died at the age of 88, one month short of his 89th birthday. he co-hosted with with with with giffo gifford. here's a look back at his life. >> reporter: he was a television original, an icon for six decades. when news came that he passed away, the accolades came in from all corners. jimmy kimmel tweeting, he leaves

francisco, typical spots in the well-defined marine layer and i want to get you caught up on what is now a tropical storm. this was hanna yesterday, a minimal hurricane. winds at 50 miles an hour continues to move to the west and southwest at 9:00 and is moving to the northern mountains of mexico. we're not done yet. looking at 15 inches of rain of possible, and the texas border looking at some rain. as we go through the day, this will continue to subside, the coastal flood warnings, and you'll see as it moves into mexico. dodging pretty much a bullet here, because with a category 1, it could have been a lot worse. of course, hurricane season is pretty early. in the pacific, still looking at douglas steamrolling across the hawaiian islands, getting pretty close. category 1 winds at 90 miles an hour, moving to the

west/northwest at you'll see how it slowly weakens, but sea temperatures here quite warm, so we're not looking at the weakening being all that quick. definitely some impacts along the hawaiian islands with douglas. 61 in hayward, 54 up to the north in santa rosa with 60 in san jose. 6:08 the sunrise from mt. tam and looking at that typical summertime pattern with mild to warm temperatures, morning clouds, afternoon sun and just some minor changes throughout the week. in fact, we're talking very di by the low clouds and fog, and by the middle of the week, a system to the north of us cooling us off. but as we look to the day today,

including two children with coronavirus. she and her husband both have coronavirus. she has since tested negative, but as soon as she did, she stopped working and let her colleagues know. >> translator: i hope you are well, you and your family. others ask, why? don't you take care of yourself? we wanted to know how and where we got infected. we got to thinking, we only get out to buy gas and food, so it was very difficult to find out we were positive. >> kreselius still doesn't know exactly where she became infected, but she knows she's part of a broader story. latinos make up for just 16% of the population, yet they account for almost 80% of all the coronavirus cases. it's the largest disparity in the bay area. >> in some ways the virus here is sort of a truth teller around inequities.

>> reporter: if there's one person working to bridge these inequities, it's omar the leader of the alliance. >> they set up testing sites here, but even then there are challenges. you can see the long lines of people here today, some saying they showed up at 7:00 this morning, six hours before the site opened, and there still aren't enough tests. >> all the tests today, there will be a lot of people that are disappointed, but it is what it is. i cannot control how many test we see do per day. >> reporter: omar says their site is given between 80 and 120 tests per week, and it's never enough. >> translator: i asked for help. marin county called me. they told me, you tested positive, you need to be home. get away from your family, get away from your children. i could not leave my children, and where was i going to go?

let's get you a live look now from the texas coast as hurricane hanna is expected to bring more bands of rain to southern texas today. hanna made landfall yesterday, but flash floods remain on the coast through this morning. each band that pushes through is expected to dump at least one inch of rain and kick the rains to 30 miles per hour. there are also coastal warnings and flood warnings. low-lying roads could once again go under water at high tide today, and officials in texas say they're prepared for whatever flooding or other problems triggered by hanna. in hawaii, shelters are at the ready for anyone who needs to shelter from hurricane douglas. president trump has sent extra help to state and local officials. right now the island of oahu have storm warnings and other islands have tropical storm warnings in place. many places are trying to get the virus under control as

by about 8:00, then you see a high today about 87. a little change for tomorrow into tuesday, highs into the mid-80s. the numbers drop off into wednesday but quickly recover into thursday. warmest weather arrives next week, but once again, good news is not getting too hot. just low 90s in our inland valleys for the warmest days of the week coming into play by the end of the week into early part of august. yeah, that's right, august starts into next week. as we look at our east bay hills camera, you can see the fog there. not enough to overshroud the city, but we are clear in concord and livermore. doppler 7, the fog is right there along the coast up through the north bay and along the peninsula. widen the view all the way down into southern california as well. we've got the low clouds and g fog, one element of our forecast, and then this comes into play as we get to the middle of the week. there is a trough overhead,

anyway, before that system visits us. that's allowing the temperatures to stay pretty comfortable out there. here's a look at the temperatures. pacifica checking in at 54. we'll be partly cloudy later on today there, and mt. tam, looking at the low clouds, the depth above, about 500 upper 50s with the clear sky up toward our inland east bay. here's a look at san jose. been a little hazy here. upper levels of the atmosphere may be bringing in a little bit of haze, but otherwise that sea breeze, that dry southwesterly flow aligned for good air quality. typical summer pattern. mild to warm the next few days. morning clouds, afternoon sunshine that will take us through today, tomorrow, tuesday and then the minor changes come midweek, come wednesday when we cool off a little bit. highs today in the south bay.
