calling for racial justice turned violent. there were clashes with oakland police and a fire was set at the alameda county courthouse. abc7 news reporter cornell has the images and reaction. >> police say demonstrators set fire inside the alameda county courthouse saturday night. sky 7 captured another fire set outside the building. the fire department put both fires out quickly. windows were broken here and at a nearby apartment building. at oakland police headquarters, a group kicked down a barricade surrounding the police department. >> i saw a lot of intensity. people are very upset. >> vanessa joined hundreds on the street. it began as a peaceful protest in downtown oakland in support of black lives matter and police reform. and against federal agents being deployed to portland, oregon, to disperse demonstrators. >> there were like grandmas and grandpas and veterans and native

people and latin x people and everybody is out and so sick. political police oppression. >> reporter: later some broke from the larger group spray painting graffiti. oakland police declared it an unlawful assembly tweeting, we are asking agitators to stop throwing items and pointing lasers at the officers. mayor schaaf said vandalizing our down gives donald trump the images he wants and the justification he seeks to send federal troops into american cities. we celebrate passionate protest but oaklanders need to know, when they attend protests after dark, they might be providing cover for agitators. >> the vandalism is ugly. >> reporter: he's disappointed. he believes the actions of some distract from the black lives matter movement. >> this is a bad image for the

city of oakland. this doesn't bring floyd back or anything. this is damage for the city, period. >> the oakland police say they've made several arrests but did not give details on charges. in oakland, abc7 news. in seattle police arrested 45 people. seattle police said protesters through large rocks and bottles along with fireworks and explosives injuring 21 officers. in los angeles, violence broke out between police and demonstrators, where at least three protesters were injured. and in portland, protesters breached a fence surrounding the city's federal courthouse building. ing now to the clared it a riot. coronavirus pandemic, and another county is being monitored by the state. the santa cruz county was add to the list. that means if cases don't drop in three days, it will have to roll back its reopening and close indoor businesses. the number of confirmed cases in california is down significantly with more than 8,200 cases.

residential part of the city. and like you mentioned, great weather to go to a farmer's market or whatever you happen to be doing today. >> francis? >> yeah, definitely. we're seeing lots of blue skies around the bay area but of course we're dealing with the fog as well and the low clouds from the coast. you can see it here with live doppler 7. we only got partly cloudy skies at the beaches today. but check out the thunderstorms in the sierras today. it will continue through tomorrow. overnight and into tomorrow until about 7:00. so be careful. if you do see some lightning and thunderstorms, head inside and take some cover. we're seeing the sea breeze as well pick up in san francisco. 23-miles-per-hour. and the cool winds is what is driving temperatures to be in the 60s, along the beaches. here's a live look right now at the embarcadero. you can see the wind blowing the palm trees.

current temperatures now in san francisco. 62. oakland. 68. san jose and gilroy at 77. check out pacifica. a cool 57 degrees right there. from emeryville, we're looking west toward san francisco. and you can see the coastal clouds in the distance. more temperatures for you. we're seeing 70s and 80s still for some of the interior locations. santa rosa, 72. novato, 81. 85 in fairfield and concord. and livermore is currently at 83 degrees. we are in a very typical summertime pattern which means we've got this onshore flow and then we'll see the clouds move in overnight into tomorrow morning. it will be widespread. we'll have some fog, possibly even some drizzle in some spots near the beaches and then 7:00 tomorrow morning, it starts to pull back. then plenty of sunshine pretty much for everybody exempt at the beaches where the clouds will prevail. andover night lows will be pretty mild, in the 50s for the most part.
