we have cloud cover at 8:00 and 61 on the peninsula. noon it will be 73, near 80 for a couple hours this evening. the south bay, increasing sunshine and warming to 69 by 10:00. sunny and 76 at noon. low to mid-80s for a couple hours. very nice 71 at 8:00. hottest temperatures will be in the east bay valleys where we have the least amount of cloud cover, 64 and sunshine at 8:00. low to mid-90s from 3:00 to 6:00. we'll take a look at that warmer weekend coming up. now let's talk about the morning commute. good morning, everyone. so far things are looking pretty nice on our roads this morning. we'll start off with a live look showing you our camera in emeryville checking out 80. we are experiencing some fog there yesterday, but so good for the roads as we bring this live camera in for you. so you can see the headlights are making their way toward the maze and the toll plaza.

goo start with you where it is cloudy and about 61 in san jose as we look at 87. we start off pretty of the same, but slightly faster sunshine means slightly warmer temperatures this afternoon and a very high uv index, burn time about 15, 20 minutes. the dangerous heat starts today and it is starting to spread north up into the central valley. 118 in palm springs today, near 90 in yosemite. we'll talk about the warmth coming our way in the accuweather 7 day forecast. supreme court jush densrg is resting this morning after a new york hospital after undergoing a medical procedure. the 87-year-old had a bile duct stint replaced. she is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week. the procedure is not related to her cancer which had returned

two weeks ago. while families continue to weigh the best options for the school year this fall, some daycare centers have been quietly reopening. but some are finding that their regular clientele has been forced to leaarea. the chatham school, before the pandemic, they had a two year wait list for infant care. but now things have changed. the owner says nine of her former clients, all families with young kids, have moved away in recent weeks mostly out of state. >> a lot of parents may not have a full-time job anymore or they are needing to search for a job, but by moving home to their hometown, they have their family relatives being able to help. >> families moving couldwo i ch. local realtors say many families are moving into oakland. an san jose will soon resume parking enforcement. the mercury news says starting

monday residents and visitors will be required to pay for meter parking and violators could get a ticket. downtown parking garages will start charging after 90 minutes. vehicles will be towed that are not operational or that pose a health safety risk. a huge demand for takeout food during the pandemic is creating a serious side effect for the environment. we know most takeout comes with a lot of trash and unfortunately, that ends up on our streets. so abc 7 news anchor dan ashley is introducing us to a bay area entrepreneur who is trying to make a difference. >> the sand looked like it was rainbow colored and i realized it was all micro plastics and this was washing up from the ocean. and that clicked to me like this is not a small problem, this is an enormous problem. >> reporter: and that was the start of her crusade to cut waste and it led to her work with the surf rider foundation

helping restaurants switch to more sustainable practices including eliminating trash. lindsey is now business school student and she connects with a team, gets investors and launches a zero waste business called dispatch goods. they partner with a few companies like yelp and then use reusable containers. the dirty dishes are picked up at office buildings, cleaned and used again. >> and we're launching with some big companies in march, and then the pandemic hit and we're like no one's going downtown anymore. >> reporter: so now the dispatch goods team is reinventing the business, still focusing on zero waste, but with prepared meals delivered to your door. this is how it works. customers order from a range of. the food is delivered twice a week and although the meals are fully cooked, they arrive cold. >> it is confusing at first, nobody is used to ordering

. i thought we'd take a sneak peek of what to expect friday, saturday and sunday. at least temperature-wise. you can see a pretty wide range from 66 in san francisco to about 94 in antioch. a lot of those temperatures pretty close to average, but the farther you get away from water, they will be about two to four degrees warmer than average. saturday we add a degree or two on to that and then we hold pretty steady sunday. monday we'll start to break down the heat once again and head into cooler conditions next
