listened to 5,000 times while trying to perfect a dance on tiktok? that was me. you're welcome and i'm sorry. jimmy and i actually just switched jobs for the night. right now, i'm here, and he's performing for thousands of people at a dance hall in berlin. in a very tight tank top. the last time i saw jimmy it was after i broke into his house in the middle of the night. i teamed up with his wife molly -- got a bunch of lights and a smoke machine and did this. ♪ ♪ >> dua lipa: ah, there's nothing sexier than a grown man wearing a mouth guard. and i thought i'd had the last laugh, until tonight. when jimmy tricked me into hosting his show from a creepy empty house. good one jim. all kidding aside, i'm excited to do this. it's a totally new experience for me. i've never done a monologue or interviewed celebrities, but

before this year i'd also never gone to whole foods in a hazmat suit. so let's give it a shot. i'll tell you a little bit about myself. since everyone asks, yes dua lipa is my real name. and you can probably guess where i went to school based on my accent. hogwarts. house gryffindor. obviously. i've won two grammys and have 17 tattoos. that's true. i'll show you a few. i have this rose, which is a plant that grows outside. remember outside? i have a tattoo that says "this means nothing," which means something. i just can't remember. this one says "future nostalgia," which is the name of my new album. lots of artists do this actually. that's why bruce springsteen has a "born in the usa" tramp stamp. and finally, i got this one during quarantine. i think we're all looking for guidance right now, so i got a tattoo of my greatest inspiration, my hero, the reason i do everything.

that was when i was a little girl. >> dua lipa: i heard that you've been spending quarantine with your husband blake shelton at the ranch in oklahoma. who else is with you? how was that? >> um, well, he's not my husband, but that sounded cool when you said it. no. yeah, me and blake -- he has a ranch in oklahoma and we were actually on his tour, right, when we got shut down from being on tour. so my brother was out with us because he's doing all these behind the scenes. so his whole family came out, so it was me, my three boys, blake, and then my brother, his wife and their two little babies, kids, and then her sister and then a friend. so we had i think it was 15 people, and it was really actually a lot of fun at first. you know what i mean? it's lake all of a sudden work is over and you just get to like indulge and being on this ranch and every day was like a new

thing. a baby armadillo today. or we had baby wild hog. and everything turned into like getting to learn how to cook sour dough bread like everybody else in the world. we had a lot of fun. >> dua lipa: i love that. have you learned to milk any animals? are you good at it yet? >> i fed milk to animals, but no. i would really be into milking. we don't have those kind of animals on the ranch. we have more like exotic -- like you'll be running and you'll see a herd of these animals. you can't touch them or anything like that. it's pretty -- it's pretty amazing, i have to say. >> dua lipa: i love it. have you got your own -- >> i grew up in orange county. i don't know if you've been down there, but it's like nothing like middle of america, and our nature was the beach. so to be able to be, you know, in oklahoma and experience a ranch kind of vibe is just something i never, ever had, so it's been really -- it's been

great, amazing. >> dua lipa: i love that. i'd expect for you to have a pair of sparkly cowboy boots. have you got those yet? >> you know, it's funny because i would always think that was so foreign to me, i would never wear cowboy boots. but yes, i actually have a bunch of cowboy boots now. i. an old pair that are like -- it feels crazy because they're five years old. that's how long we've been hanging out, me and blake shelton. it's pretty fun. it's fun to introduce a whole 'nother genre of music or culture that i never thought i'd get to know. it's exciting and fun. >> dua lipa: yeah, you just had a number one. tell me how that feels. >> that felt crazy. it's almost like -- it's a little bit full circle because i think the first concert that i ever went to, we had girl scouts of america. i was in girl scouts. my parents picked me up and took me to l.a. and we saw emmy lou harris which is a country artist.
