people on pleasants valley road are being told to leave and we know the fire is getting close to interstate 80. these images horrifying from overnight as people had to get out with whatever theyodng aust and is evacuations near the santa cruz mountains. santa cruz county fair grounds ispe for shelter. and let's take a look and show you what is going on in the santa cruz mountains. thankfully thekaum calmed down a little bit, but they are pushing the smoke into the peninsula and south bay where we have unhealthy air f everybody.

we have not received confirmation from the chp that air relief has arrived yet, but i want to let everyone know what is happening and in the north bay here, 128 between silverado trail and monticello road is closed. there are so many fires burning right now, if can be hard to keep track of where they are. so here is a simple map showing you what we know right now. ou ysas burning in napa, sonoma, marin, contra costa, san mateo and santa cruz counties. more counties in the bay area n. evacuation centers have been opened in vacaville, and there are several listed on the screen. we should point out that large animals can be taken to the solano county fair grounds in vallejo, small animals can be dropped out at the animal shelter on claybank road. and wee covering forced eva

commute with jobina. good morning, everyone. so i spent l otime t aking about vacaville and the north bay and i don't want to neglect what is happening in the santa cruz mountains because we do have a lot of major closures there as well. so we'll start with the maps in that area for anyone impacted here. on looking at a full closure highway 9 between sk6yline boulevard. that is the first large closure that we're seeing here. and not far away, we have a full closure of 236 between highway 9 and sdwra mijamison creek. and there is a full closure along coastline of between 84rund county line. so you can see how far that stretches. that is due to the fire ian we't asl as everything that isel happening inavac v in napa and st. helena.

as a result people have been racing out of the area and just having to take whatever they have on them. julian glover is live in vacaville with what he is seeing now. >> reporter: good morning. f me wss,yeoue now on the other side of pleasant valley road. you can see this structure is fully engulfed in flames. some are doing a good bit of damage to this wooden fence, this tree and structure, pretty of the entire area h charred by the flames here this morning. one of two active structure fires that we've seen so far on pleasant valley e other one fla larger and shortly after we got it le, we er lialne rupture and the flames beginning to shoot up higher. this is what the fire crews are contending with this morning. that particular location, the wind leites
