return to our inland valleys. how hot? looks like next weekend we'll see maybe a renewed surge of warm weather. a live look at live doppler 7, the low cloud deck is tall, over 1,200 feet and visibility issues with the fog but air quality right now is good, and we will be looking at the good air quality throughout the next couple of hours before things change so always seems having issues with the air quality and we will be for the foreseeable future, until we get a shift in this pattern. so low pressure has been along the coast, and that has been allowing the low clouds and the fog temperatures in the 50s and 60s. high pressure in from the west, modest warming inland, coming up into the 90s. 61 in oakland right now. it 153 in santa rosa, 61 in hayward, mountain view checking in at 61 and as we look at the winds, they're light. that's what you notice for sure, but they're out of the north and

5:22 am
around the high and be pushed offshore, and that's going to take that smoke offshore, so i think the winds will have help, and you notice by wednesday we're in the upper 80s, 90s inland, some low 90s by friday, that's our typical summer spread, but as for today, we're looking at temperatures in the 60s at the coast. it will be cool here, with mid-60s along half moon bay, san francisco. 74 in san mateo, look for 83 in san jose, low 80s up in the north bay, and about 90 inland. so the accuweather seven-day forecast featuring the smoky sunshine again today but with more warmer readings as we get into a warmer pattern for monday, tuesday and it's going to stay that way for much of the work week. so it's all about the winds and even though we're going to warm up, i think they may favor better air quality, liz, as we get up into the week ahead, september. >> lisa, thank you. just ahead, the overflowing

take it slow if you're headed out this morning. we will be looking at minor improvements. we have some pretty good conditions with the air quality and then they expect to go downhill a little bit. visibility two miles in half moon bay and haze i why out y i. high pressure is building in and as it does, north/south gradient and as a result some of the smoke from the north bay fires will be pushing into the north bay, but once we get a little more warming, i think it will be pushed offshore into the upcoming work week so areas of dense fog, mist and drizzle, the smoke impacting much of the bay area again, especially the north bay for poor air quality and spare the air alert today with the entire bay area expecting less than ideal air quality once again. we are looking for summer heat to continue to build into our inland valleys, as we get through the week ahead. so this was a smoke forecast, as

we put it into motion, you'll notice that 7:00 this morning, the bright pinks that indicates the poor air quality, look what happens as we roll through into tuesday, the shades get lighter here, as we roll even further into tuesday night, and wednesday, notice the bright colors kind of seem to be going away, so that's an indication that the upper level features high pressure allowing for some of that smoke to be pushed out of the region. so we can hope that follows suit. today look for 80s in san jose, 82 in santa clara. 80 in sunnyvale, so a warm day in the south bay on the peninsula. we'll get into the hazy conditions with that afternoon sea breeze, 73 in millbrae, upper 70s in redwood city, into san francisco it's been cool, just in the low 60s, mid-60s today, so with some hazy sun, we'll call it mild down to about 70 in south city, up in the north bay, looking for low 80s in petaluma, to about 80 degrees here in napa. certainly the hazy skies with

temperatures on the coast not getting out of the 60s. over into the east bay, low to mid-70s from oakland to san leandro, 78 in union city as well as fremont. you head inland and looking at numbers from the mid 80s to about 90, that delta breeze continues to increase throughout the afternoon, but temperatures kind of pleasant there. you'll have to deal with the fog and i should say the haze throughout the afternoon. so the accuweather seven-day forecast notice that with the smoky sunshine, we dropped our spare the air alert with temperatures warming through the period. looks like very little change, 60s coast, mid-70s around the bay to mid-90s inland, hoping for slightly better air quality through the period. liz? >> thank you so much. his passing still really so hard to comprehend but next we look back at the incredible amount of positivity and
