get those nice sweet and tangy flavors, and then what you want to do is really work the bottom of the pan. stir it around. let it get nice and hot, nice and sizzly. and this is called deglazing. we want to take all thosesesese flavorful brown bits from the bottom of the pan, that nice caramelized juice and work it into our sauce. it's already smelling good with tangy vinegar and everything. and our bacon, crisped up bacon, we'll add it back in the pot and it gives the chicken a nice smokiness and great flavor and another smoke factor to really pump up the factor is smoked paprika. these are sweet red peppers that are smoked over oak and that is going to make this chicken taste like it is cooked for hours. that's what i love about this. this is one of my favorite things to take to a family barbecue. i'm a baker so i love dishes i prep and pop into the oven. this will taste like it was cooked for hours. that is great. >> i feel you there. >> this is some prepared barbecue sauce. we're just going to stir that in, and then we've got our sauce here. this comes to a nice simmer. we've got our chicken

which are going to go right back into the sauce. and then this goes into a low oven, about 325 covered up. you can toss the chicken thighs around. you want to let it cook low and slow until the chicken is tender, practically falling off the bone. it's going to be super succulent. >> looks amazing. what you can't see is whit almost chopping his fingers off with these scallions down here. how do we put the -- careful there. >> we're good. >> how do we put the finishing touches on this dish? >> all right, guys, so we've got some chopped up green onions here. i heard whit is chopping up these green onions. you just want to sprinkle those right on top and you're going to get some beautiful color and those green onions, the scallions add a nice bright fresh oniony flavor and it looks incredible. this is great just as is and it's also great left over kind of pulled apart on a little slider bun with some slaw on top. nice pulled chicken sandwich the next day. super flavorful and chicken is going to be really succulent because it cooks in the nice sauce. >> i can't. >> scallion bae, says our
