protests erupted from coast to coast after the ruling in the breonna taylor case. here in san francisco, protestors marched through the city's mission district demanding justice for breonna taylor. it went down to the mission place station where they held a rally calling to defund the police department. in louisville, protests turned violent as two police officers were shot. here is alex presha. >> reporter: we've seen protests from los angeles to new york, but now louisville is on high alert after those two police officers were shot. overnight protests across the country following the grand jury's decision in the breonna taylor case. >> officer down. >> reporter: investigators confirming two police officers were shot less than one hour before the city's curfew when a large crowd faced off with police in riot gear. both officers with

nonlife-threatening injuries. kentucky's governor deploying the national guard to help. only one of the three officers involved in taylor's shooting has been charged, but they aren't related to her death. brett hankinson faces charges for allegedly endangering neighbors. and the grand jury are found the other officers involved used their weapons justifiably. detective miles koz gro comekoze sergeant ryan mattingly. >> the grand jury agreed that they were justified in their return of deadly fire after having been filed upon by kenneth walker. >> reporter: walker says he fired a warning shot from his legally own gun when he did not hear police announce themselves. breonna taylor's family attorney called the decision offensive and another example of no accountability for the jen sigee

baggage claim. they will start using these tests on october 15 on people headed to hawaii. united provided some video for us to hoe us the test that will be taken the day of your flight and the results should be available in 15 minutes. if a traveler tests negative, they won't be required to quarantine for two weeks in hawaii. hawaii right now requires travellers to quarantine for two weeks after arriving. right now the governor is planning to lift that requirement on october 15 if the traveler has a negative covid test. you nighted is trying to make it easier for you and provide the test right here at the airport. easier for you and provide the test right here at the airport. now, you don't have to use this test obviously. there are other options out there. this is just a convenient one for those of you who need it, but it will cost you. so keep that in mind. $250 per test. also keep in mind that the

revenge for breeaianneonna rall. some blocked access to 580 and took a knee in the street beating drums. bay area families lost loved ones to police killings gathered by zoom. >> i have a lot of anxiety that i'm afraid that that is the same thing that will happen with eric, but i just pray that that won't happen with this and that all of the families that have had encounters with the police and our loved ones passed away, killed by the police, that we get justice. >> reporter: and her brother was killed by chp officers in oakland in june. again, the gathering planned for today will start at the breonna taylor mural. and one more comment of the organizers of the rally, it reads breonna taylor was

murdered and yet her neighbors' walls get more justice than breonna taylor herself. that is the message that the people there gathering at 15th and broadway today will echo. joe biden, abc 7 news. now to the south bay, new video shows about 30 people protesting in sunnyvale following the grand jury's decision. at least two people responded to the protestors by making pro police statements. officers stood by while the situation remained peaceful. and dozens gadhafi thorred outside san jose city hall for a rally last night, the crowd grew to about 200 people. many held signs as the grochant "black lives matter" and breonna taylor. and there was also a tint set up by organizing ers who brought shields just in case. if you are dealing with racial or social justice issue, we want to help. go to abc7news.com/take action

ahead. not what we were looking forward to. >> that's right. we're tracking a fire weather watch this weekend. it is that time of the year, we see the strong winds develop, it really does heighten the fire danger. so a lower look at what we'll be tracking. here is your fire weather watch. it begins 11:00 a.m. on saturday. and it lasts several days. it doesn't expire until 8:00 a.m. monday morning. it encompasses the lake county, mountains in the north bay, hills in the east bay and inland east bay. what we're watching is offshore winds that will develop out of the north/northeast, sustained about 10 to 20 miles per hour. but gusts could be stronger than that, up to 50 miles per hour in the hills. when the winds rush down our hill, they compress, they warm up the air and they also dry out

the air. so it do thats the humidity and warms the temperatures. and so highs today, no worry about the winds. today there is a night onshore breeze that will keep our air very fresh. and temperatures slightly cooler compared to yesterday. so no intense heat the next 24 hours. 70 in san francisco, 76 in oakland, 79 in san jose. and concord and antioch at about 86. and the sun is getting up here shortly just before 7:00 a.m. today we're good to go no matter where you live from the north bay, east bay, south bay, the coast. it is fresh air, but then the air quality does decline friday into the moderate category of pm 2.5 levels between 51 and 100.
