to 16 for local elections. in oakland, vote letters see measure qq on the ballot. that would give city council the option of allowing 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in school board elections. san mateo county will offer early voting at 45 locations once again tomorrow. that includes one at the event center in san mateo. officials tell us, turnout has been high. >> what i've noticed is a very high motivation to cast the ballots in this election. the turnout has been absolutely exceptional. at historical levels. we have over 270,000 ballots returned and we're at a 59% voter return rate. >> voting centers are open from 9:00 tomorrow morning until 5:00 in the evening. and you can vote at any location if you are registered to vote in a san mateo county. in santa clara county, people are dropping off ballots and voting in person. more than 579,000 residents have

returned vote by mail ballots already. the numbers from the first day of early voting compared to the primary seemed to show turnout would be high. >> on the first day, we had five people come in in march. we had one in the early day of early voting here. >> what a difference. behind the scenes, the very first steps of ballot sorting and processing are underway. santa clara county has more than 100 vote centers and dozens of drop-off sites. you have until 8:00 p.m. tuesday to cast the ballot. and golden state warriors assistant coach mike brown made a fast break at the ballot box at the chase center in san francisco today. san francisco voters can drop off their ballots tomorrow from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 at night on. tuesday election day, from 7:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening. if you do want to drop off your ballot closer to home or vote in person, you can head to our website. abc7news.com for everything you need to know.

than 93 million americans have already cast their ballots. 9 million texans have voted, surpassing all of 2016's turnout. a federal judge will hear argument in addition case brought by texas conservatives challenging more than 100,000 ballots cast at ten drive-through locations in harris county which is largely democrat. voting the it violates state and federal election laws. a similar challenge was rejected by the texas supreme court. abc news, washington. >> to some developing news, a 150-year-old tradition in san francisco's chinatown will be different next year. there will be no live chinese new year festival and parade. the san francisco chinese chamber of commerce made the announcement citing safety concerns amid the pandemic. it is billed as the largest lunar new year parade outside of asia. next year instead some floats will be put on display along with statues celebrating the year of the ox in san francisco. >> we'll have an appropriate

of 63 degrees. so overnight, we'll have very limited fog. any fog will be confined to the immediate coastline so mainly clear skies. numbers slightly warmer than they were last night. around the bay shoreline will be around 70 degrees. outside the bay shoreline, our communities, a little cooler in the low to mid 40s first thing tomorrow morning. we'll warm pretty quickly through the morning hours. hour by hour, by 10:00 on monday, we're already into the 60s if not into the low 70s by 10:00 a.m. as we approach lunch time, we will see cities getting close to 80 degrees. tomorrow will be a little warmer than today. highs on monday, 76 in the 70. a lot of sunshine, we'll hit 80 in oakland, 83 in san jose, 85 in santa rosa. 84 in concord and 84 in san rafael. some issues with our air quality. a little smoke coming into our atmosphere from the creek fire. moderate air quality for monday.

improving conditions as a bit of an onshore breeze will kick in. most areas will go back to good air quality on tuesday. fast forward to election day on tuesday. you can see no concern in terms of the weather. we have nothing but sunshine. the temperatures are very comfortable by the afternoon. again, in the 70s if not low 80s for another day. here's the accuweather forecast. sunny for vote orders election day tuesday. that sunshine and warmth continues into thursday. then numbers really just fall off a cliff feeling more like fall by friday. the guidance is trending drier on our chance for rain. otherwise, cooler in our 50s and 60s. last year, the 49ers and seahawks, two match-ups were decided in the final seconds. the field goal in overtime. they got revenge with the goal
