>> we are hearing from a bay area man that volunteers for the covid vaccine trial. >> the man now believes he is immune. >> he believes he could be part of the data indicating pfizer's vaccine may be 90% effective keeping in mind there are a lot of questions like how long the vaccine lasts and if it is equally effective in the demographics. >> my arm was a little sore. >> reporter: that was in september after he received his forced infection. >> i met the criteria. >> reporter: trial is double blinded. neither he or the researchers know if he received the vaccine or placebo. >> i got a little achy in my muscles. it went away after that day. i think i had a real side-effect.

>> he decided to get an antibody test to check for immunity outside of the trial. >> you have a lot of antibodies. she was thrilled. i started crying. i said we are out of this. it is over. we are going to be okay. >> reporter: he is confident he received a vaccine and not a placebo. this doctor is not part of the pfizer trial. >> he could have had covid asymptomatic as well and been in the placebo group. >> reporter: pfizer said the initial results indicate the vaccine could be 90% effective and almost as effective as the measles vaccine. what do you say to people that don't believe in the safety of the vaccine? >> i am going to get it the first day i can get it. >> it has been proven safe in trial, take a little risk and be brave and save your neighbor. >> reporter: i have been in touch with pfizer in new york

live doppler 7 is tracking the system here coming in from the gulf of alaska. wet, breezy to gusty continues are expected. use caution if you need to hit the roads. slippery roads, low visibility. clouds are moving in. holding the temperatures up. not quite as cold tomorrow as it was this morning. you will notice around 11:00 a.m. most of the activity slides south and eastward. by 3:00 p.m. you are seeing moderate rain. we go into the evening commute. 5:00 it will be wet.

the focus of the showers there will be in the south and the east bay. it will produce snow in the mountains. that is welcome news as well. in terms of rainfall totals, most areas are between .05 to .4. some of the wetter spots will pick up more rain and turns to mountain snow tomorrow and tomorrow night. winter weather advisory above 6,000 feet. travel will be difficult and windy as well. up to nine inches over the higher peaks, 3-6 at the low are parts of the mountain range there. just a reminder.
