[ laughter ] on the other end of the responsibility spectrum, secretary of state mike pompeo is moving ahead with plans for not one but two holiday parties at the state department this month. pompeo has reportedly sent out over 900 invitations for just one of the events which is being held indoors in what they call the benjamin franklin room. benjamin franklin died of lung disease. a state department spokesman dead face coverings will be

mandatory. how long do you think the face covering will last in a room full of bigs in a blanket? he could end up eat an n95 face mask. our future ex-president is not happy with his attorney general, bill barr, after barr came out to declare there's no evidence of widespread election fraud. he was called to a meeting with trump that was said to be intense. i would love to have been a fly on the wall trump didn't build for that one, i'll tell you that. [ laughter ] the meeting was said to be contentious. when barr left the white house you could see tiny little slap marks all over his face. [ laughter ] there's talk that even though trump has 48 days in office he might give barr the boot. trump weighed in on that subject and more. >> can i ask you to respond to the comments by your attorney general, who indicated he has not seen at this point any evidence of fraud enough to overturn the election results? given that, why is now not the time to concede?

>> well, he hasn't done anything. so he hasn't looked. when he looks, he'll see the kind of evidence that right now you're seeing in the georgia senate, you know. they're going through hearings right now in georgia, they're finding tremendous volumes. so they haven't looked very hard. >> jimmy: right, right. have they tried opening all the little doors of the advent calendar? fraud. usually when mike pence is distancing himself from you, you're a woman whose ankles are showing. [ laughter ] according to one insider, pence does not want to go down with this ship. that's like the first mate on the "lusitania" trying to distance himself from the torpedo hole. it's too late, my man, you're about to get wet. cousin rudy is at it again. there's some crazy stuff going on right now that most people probably aren't even aware of. the nuttiest of the nutty trump nuts are showing up to what they're calling election hearings. and all the looneys are coming out of the bin. last night we were introduced to a new character in the trumper-verse, a woman named melissa coron, no relation to the virus. i watched this clip 14 times, i'm still not convinced she's a real person. >> i've lost family, i've lost friends, i've been threatened, i've been -- my kids have been threatened, my -- i've had to move, i've had to change my phone number, i've had to get

share that moment with them was so special. and we finished the night by one of my friends makes the best pancakes in the world. so she hooked us up with pancakes. we all ate pancakes in my living room. and my parents -- my mom had just learned a song on the piano that she wanted to share with everyone. >> jimmy: wow. >> it was a good time to whip out a little duet. >> jimmy: really, what did they sing? >> they were singing "easy like sunday morning." >> jimmy: oh, okay, commodores, yeah. >> there was there -- you know, it was a rendition. my mom was still learning. it was a little choppy here and there but they got it right. it was beautiful. yeah, it was a special little thing. >> jimmy: you had a pancake party, that's nice. so you were -- where are you, in atlanta right now shooting "spider-man 3," correct? >> correct. >> jimmy: correct. you can say that. i know it's very secretive, right? >> yes, everything is very secret. >> jimmy: is it call "spider-man 3" because there are three

what do you have to say to somebody who doesn't have a whole lot of hope? >> when i was a little girl growing up, my grandma used to always have this saying. and i never understood what it meant -- until i was ready to get clean. and her words were, baby, trouble don't last always. and it doesn't. if you want to make a change. that's up to you. >> jimmy: that is zendaya in "euphoria." [ cheers and applause ] tell us a little bit about the actor that we just saw in the scene with you there. >> she is miss marcia. and she is absolutely incredible. >> jimmy: she is. >> we're so lucky that we have her in the "euphoria" family. we actually met her at one of the churches that we shot

"euphoria" season 1 at. i believe it was actually the pilot. we met her while shooting the pilot. and she was -- she worked there. and we were shooting there. and sam met her, and she -- we were just taken by her charm and her personality. and her story. she has her own story of addiction and her own battle with addiction. she was so open and honest. sam was like, miss marcia, we're coming back for you. she was in the first season. then when he wrote these episodes, he was like, we've got to bring miss marcia back. she came back, and she was willing to share her story and her words with us. those words that you see are her own words. and she spoke to us, and it was such a beautiful moment. i'm so glad that you played that one. because what she says is her story. and it actually ended up being the title of the episode. so she's -- we're very thankful for her. >> jimmy: she is fantastic. she is absolutely fantastic. and you're great and your costars -- there are very few actors in this episode. it's kind of a -- would you say it's a christmas episode? >> technically, yeah. it's christmas eve for them, so it was our christmas special. if you're trying to get in the mood for a happy holiday thing, i don't know if this is the vibe for you. >> jimmy: uh-huh. >> but it is our own version of -- i mean, there is hope in there. i think there are some hopeful moments. but it's -- it's very intimate. and it explores so much. and i'm really proud of this one. >> jimmy: i'm sure you're aware that every parent with a high schooler or a child that's going to be a high schooler one day, is terrified by this show. they watch the show and they go, oh my god, is this what's going to happen? is this what's going on? do you hear that a lot? >> yes. yes, i do. >> jimmy: and when somebody like

miss marcia comes in and is great off the bat without any acting experience, is that disheartening at all? because that wouldn't happen in any other job.
