[ laughter ] a blizzard on top of covid is like a hat on another hat. speaking of cold, white stuff. mike pence is expected -- [ laughter ] -- to get his first of two pfizer shots tomorrow.

he and his wife karen are doing it on television to show that the vaccine is safe. i guess the thinking is, if it's good enough for america's first karen, it should be good enough for the rest of them too. [ laughter and applause ] but this is exciting for mike pence. getting vaccinated is the only time mother ever does shots with him. [ laughter ] it's worth mentioning that mike pence, who is the head of the covid task force, wrote an op-ed in "the wall street journal" six months ago saying there would be no second wave of the virus, this is nothing but hysteria from the media. so maybe save that dose for somebody else. the only cure mike pence should get is a bottle of clorox and a heat lamp. 11:38 pm
the big question is not whether he will stay in the white house, he won't. it's where will he go next? he's the target of multiple investigations, to the point where vladimir putin is being asked if trump will pull an edward snowden and flee to mother russia. >> translator: i don't think that there's any need for mr. trump to come seek asylum with russia. because he has been -- has support of 50% of american population, has a huge base of support, he's not going to exit america's political life. >> jimmy: in other words, you ain't got to go home but you can't stay here. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: now less. >> guillermo: yes. >> jimmy: a lot of people who track this sort of thing thought there would be a baby boom when this all started. but that has not been the case. in fact, the pandemic has led to a baby bust. they say 300,000 to 500,000 fewer births are expected next year because we're all too disgusting to have sex with each other. pops drove a bus. and often didn't have christmas off. and we also didn't have money for presents. so eventually we invented -- we stopped celebrating any traditional holidays, we invented a new holiday called "meat fest." >> jimmy: meat fest? okay. >> yeah, yeah. it was like a potluck where everybody had to bring a dish made of meat. yeah, it got wild. it got pretty competitive. we would invite lots of people. it became like a thing among my friends. we always had it whatever day my pops had off between christmas and new year's. and so people weren't doing anything. they weren't with their families. a lot of friends would come. people would try to outdo each other. a boss of mine made beef wellington one time, people were bringing quail and stuff. >> jimmy: really? what was the best meat item ever served at meat fest in all your years? >> oh, man. the wellington was tough to beat. it was huge, table sized. [ laughter ] i also didn't know what such a thing was. but honestly, like my mom, who hasn't eaten meat in years, even while we were doing it didn't really eat meat, she just did this for us. she used to make a mean tri tip, and still could, though she refuses to now. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: very northern california. very central california, the tri tip. >> yeah, yeah. >> jimmy: you released a hanukkah song this year.

[ laughter and applause ] >> asked my band if we would write a hanukkah song. i said no. they said, but why not? we had a conversation about it. here's the thing. i'm in a band called clipping. we're good with constraints. we like setting up rules for ourselves. over the course of the conversation about this song we were like, well, because it would have to be like a klesmer rap song that's age appropriate for kids -- oh, yeah, that's a good idea, we should probably make this song. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: the song is called "puppy for hanukkah." which is nice. jewish parents will say, there aren't hanukkah songs or just the adam sandler song, the dreidel song. now you've released this song that requires them to get their child a puppy.
