7:15 am
the floor, end of story. chuck schumer wouldn't have that happen. so that has a major impact on his agenda, and if you point to 12 months in the end of the budget process, you know, by historic rules, you only need 50 votes to pass it. so a lot of things can get done in what's called a reconciliation of the budget process and a lot of the president-elect's agenda he'll lay out in the state of the union in february will lay out that agenda, and you can see that all working towards a major reconciliation that has major investments in infrastructure, climate change technology, job training, schools, community colleges, all the things he ran on. tax policy, investment policy. that's what will happen, and that's where the rubber hits the road. >> chris christie, it's not over yet. jon ossoff is in the lead right now, but you're already starting to see recriminations from republicans against president trump for making those claims about the georgia election the last couple of months muddling the republican message. >> well, george, listen, having

been the head of a party in my state for eight years when i was governor, here's the way it works. when your party wins, you get a lion's share of the credit. when your party loses, you get a lion's share of the blame, and that's what will happen here. so, you know, there's no doubt about that, that, you know, as you look at the warnock win and ossoff's being ahead, while i'm certainly not ready to concede the perdue race yet, i do say that it is an extraordinary turnout. when you look at 4.5 million to 4.6 million people there's two things you see the democratic turnout continued to go up in this runoff based on what the projections were, and in that some of the rural areas of georgia, you know, republican turnout was not what people expected, and so there's going to be a lot of dissecting of why that was the case, and who to blame, and that's what happens when you lose elections. rather than everybody thinking you're a genius when you win.
