let's start with abc7 news meteorologist sandhya patel with a look at live doppler 7. sandhya. >> yeah, dan and ama, live doppler 7 will show you a scene that has been familiar the last 24 hours. an atmospheric river that is not in a hurry to move. as you take a look here, we are seeing some pockets of heavy rain right around the north bay. you will notice oranges and yellows, lukas valley road. street level showing you where it is coming down. but as you both mention, the focus has been the central coast where the atmospheric river has been stalled out all day long. flood advisory is in effect till 2:30 in the morning. it covers santa clara county and parts of monterey county. hills. in the east bay moderate pockets around walnut creek, danville, flash flood watch until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. this was extended for the burn scar areas as the threat of mudslides and flash flooding continues. it's a level 2, moderate strength storm to tomorrow.

we're looking at scars in heavier pockets, a thunder chance and that means the possibility of hail. i'll be back with an hour by hour look at the time line, taking you through tomorrow evening coming right up. dan and ama? >> all right, sapped i can'ndhy you. the santa cruz mountains avoided the worst, but the same can't be said for monterey county. abc7 news reporter kris reyes is live in san jose. kris, you went to boulder creek to talk to residents who decided not to evacuate? >> reporter: that's right, uh m ama. boulder creek was pretty wet. evacuation centers in those areas have closed. resources diverted to monterey county where the situation is this ishe scene in 7:00 p.m. flood waters made rivers of roads while heavy equipment kept the mudslides at bay. it was an all day clean-up in

monterey county with debris floe throughout the region. images of fire crews having to rescue some residents. >> with it have injuries to civilians. they're in our local hospitals being treated. >> reporter: in santa cruz county they felt more relief a feeling they dodged a bullet. a boulder creek resident took this picture, rain gauge just under 4 inches and their home safe. other residents who stayed behind thankful the storm didn't live up to expectations. >> i drive around looking at the krikz and rivers. they're not bad compared to what we've seen in big storms. >> reporter: downtown boulder creek was pretty quiet with many residents following evacuation orders. most of the rain happened overnight and slowed down during the day. >> i stayed up till midnight, went to bed, then woke up at 1:30. it was cats and dogs pouring down. it's been a while since we had a rainstorm thorter: this red cro shelter in felton was packing up to take their supplies to monterey county where help is badly needed.

still cruz county officials want residents to know conditions can change quickly and to follow evacuation orders as much as possible. in san jose, kris reyes for abc7 news. >> you know, we're not as soaked as last night, but you can see there is light rain in san jose. the roads are very slick. we caught some cars in the ditch so a reminder to be careful out there. live in san jose, i'm kris reyes, abc7 news. >> good reminder. kris, thank you. a flash flood is issued for the the areas burned, lmu complex. rain is expected all night, matt. >> reporter: dan, not out of the the paeeryow wre as we head into the night. obviously this area hit hard by fires and the pandemic has had a big impact on tourism up here so one business owner we spoke to tonight said any threat of a natural disaster up here could

have even further consequence. the rain has been pretty steady since tuesday night in saint helena. not the weather she was hoping for. the week she was finally allowed to have outdoor dining again at a restaurant on main street. >> tonight we just did one, yes. we had one table. >> reporter: better than none, but she says there just aren't many people here right now. she worries another disaster like flooding or mudslides would cause more issues for locals and tourists alike. >> i do know, you know f customs who have l a they have gone through so much. so on top of that i don't know. i hope not. >> reporter: for now she's hoping for dryer days ahead. >> also all the wineries will be open then we'll have i think more tourists. >> reporter: but in an area ravaged by fire, that's a double-edged sword. >> fires and everything three months ago, and we've been

praying for rain since september and august, and now it's here and it's a great thing. >> reporter: britain bach lives up in an win. he says this level of rain doesn't make him worried about any major flooding, though he realizes the burn areas could easily become a muddy mess or worse. >> there's nothing there. it's just moon scape so the water is going to run down the hill. >> reporter: and that flash flood watch in effect till tomorrow afternoon. reporting live tonight in saint helena, matt boon, abc7 news. >> matt, thank you. now, more than 4,000 bay area customers are without power tonight. this is pg&e county's map. orange outages are impacting a great number of people. according to pg&e, the north and south bays have the most people without power right now.

answers after a supervisor in the north bay receivne s was eligible to do so. the i-team's dan noyes says that it happened on the very day tha. >> reporter: napa county okafor officials tell me they ran out of covid vaccines as of noon today. 17,583 people have received the shot but they won't schedule any more appointments until the state receives vaccine. janet is the county spokesperson. all people above 75, are they taking care of now? >> we are making a big dent in that situation certainly. >> reporter: but they confirmed ramos received a vaccine at a county site last week. she's 42 years old. napa is currently allowing feo to jump in front of the line? >> i wouldn't be aware of that. i couldn't speak to that, no. >> reporter: the story started with an anonymous tip

criticizing ramos. everyone knew she didn't qualify and she knew vaccines were going to run out. instead of giving the dose to someone who needed it she took it for herself. ramos has been available to abc7 several times often to discuss wildfires but she is isn't available to discuss this. i've been communicating with her for two days and ramos tells me she's too busy with meetings for even a brief interview. >> some questions have come up whether i've been vaccinated so i wanted to share that with you. >> reporter: she referred me to her facebook post overnight saying she was at the vaccination center to record a public service announcement and received one of the left-over shots. >> i was fortunate enough being one of the stand by list people that i received my first shot of moderna. >> reporter: the county allows people on a waiting list to sit in their cars and stand caomne cancels o shots tt day. in any case, an official from the california vaccine advisory committee tells me ramos should have refused the vaccine. >> if i was in her shoes, that's what i would have said. how come you're offering it to

you see the bay area rain and that atmospheric river still with us as we take a look at some of the heavier pockets from pacifica, linda mar boulevard heading into south city, the bay view district, guadalupe canyon moderate pockets of rain. in the north bay it is starting to move a bit as you will notice right around la bunitas. wood acre, fairfax area. we are seeing moderate to heavy rain. as you take a look at the wider perspective here, numerous storm reports in the last 24 hours. here are just some of them. we've seen debris floes, flooding, of course wind damage. and a lot of it has been concentrated around the central coast where they have seen over half a foot of rain and they're still counting. the santa cruz mountains almost 5 inches of rain as you will see there. 9/10 san francisco. over an inch redwood city. napa, santa rosa almost 2 inches of rain. even an inch and

we're still going to be adding more to those. winter weather advisory till 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, 2,500 feet additional snow is expected in lake and mendocino counties. certainly cold out there. 40s and 50s right now for your temperatures and it's a rainy view from our exploratorium camera. a snowy view in the mountains where chain controls are in effect for all roads leading up to tahoe. hold off on travel. blizzard warning until 2:00 a.m. friday. we're looking at 5 to 8 feet of snow for the storm totals. they've already seen a few feet gusts 50 to 70 miles an hour up there. level 2 impact scale. showers heavy in pockets. odingndebris floes with a chance of thunder andth forecast, tomorrow morning's commute will be dicey. some will be seeing wet roadways. allow extra time if commuting. grab your umbrellas. 7:00 a.m. still looking at wet roadways. then the rainfall intensity

begins to ease in terms of coverage. but tomorrow afternoon still we'll have to deal with those showers before it all winds late tomorrow night into the wee hours of friday morning. in terms of additional rainfall, about a quarter of an inch in the north bay all the way to almost 2 inches in the ben loem an area. this is additional rain on top of what is already fallen. temperatures 30s, 40s tomorrow morning, so chilly and tomorrow afternoon staying on the cool side, 40s, 50s, breezy with showers. here's a look at the accuweather seven-day forecast. still unsettled. chance of hail. isolated showers friday, but i don't think it will be enough for a storm impact scale. slight chance saturday. and then we bring in another storm sunday night going into monday with wind and rain, scattered showers for tuesday before we dry out on wednesday. still a risk of mudslides in the burn scar areas which is why to. burn scar areas which is why to.
