in the south bay, police arrested a man with purple hair after bringing a loaded gun to the westfield valley fair mall. police say they got a tip from the santa cruz county sheriff's office about a man live streaming on snapchat. he talked about shooting up the mall. police tracked his location and within 45 minutes, they found him at the mall with the gun. officers say he did have that, quote, distinct appearance, including the purple hair. nobody got hurt. electronics store is closing two san francisco locations indefinitely. the owners say they're fed up with the series of thefts. the most recent crime at the beta store in hays valley was an armed robbery yesterday afternoon. security video shows a thief riding in on a scooter and snatching things up. the stores will close for now. police and the mayor's office are planning to meet with the owner of the chain. >> well, a one of a kind navigation center is opening in san francisco. and the goal is to end the

city's youth homelessness crisis. city leaders got a first look at the newly completed navigation center on hyde street. the 75-bed shelter is designated for young adults ages 18 to 24. and not only will guests find a safe place to sleep, but the city will also be connecting them with jobs, resources, education, health care, and more. the center will begin housing guests on monday. >> a close shave for the kansas city chiefs just days before the super bowl, on sunday, the team's barber found he tested positive for coronavirus in the middle of giving one of the players a haircut. 20 chiefs players were scheduled to get hair cuts, including patrick mahomes. chiefs center and former 49er daniel kilgore was masked in the chair when all the hair cuts got called off. that's why you see him in this profile pic half shaved. kill gore is staying away from the team as a precaution, and he could be cleared before sunday's game. >> grammy winning r&b musician

reopen, and that that safe reopening does not suggest that teachers need to be vaccinated in order ten sacd has reopeng heai the administration hopes to see that data soon. >> a new study finds that weekly rapid covid-19 testing can cut infections by 50% in high schools and by 35% in primary schools. the study was done by the rockefeller foundation and the u.s. department of health and human services. they made 20,000 tests available in six pilot cities, including l.a. and washington, d.c. but the study also found that social distancing reduces transmission roughly 88%, which makes it more effective than weekly testing. >> the cdc is forecasting up to 85,000 people -- more people, i should say, could die from the coronavirus over the next three weeks. this comes as we do reach a
