found and are back home this morning. after about four nfl hours, they were found inside the van safely, thankfully, in the bay view district. video from early this morning shows the young children in the back of an ambulance after police found them. the two were medically examined before reuniting with their paren parents. >> every minute is excruciating. >> no fancy words can express how grateful we are, me and my wife and our family. >> they are found, they're safe. it's a happy unfortunate alert. >> the dad's car was stolen. he was delivering fooled for doordash in jackson street in pacific heights. it happened around 8:45. the van was stolen. the amber alert went out closer to 11:00 p.m.

he said he parked with his hazard lights on and hopped out to deliver the food. when he came back arc stranger was in his car and drove off. officials say there is still no word on a suspect. all right. now to that supreme court ruling that allows houses of worship to resume indoor services. the order came late friday night. we told you about it yesterday. it says the state cannot ban services due to the pandemic. however, it will limit them to capacity. the state updated the guidance and says they are reviewing the orders. the high court justices kept the ban in place on singing and chanting. liz pena found houses of worship are responding very differently. >> reporter: you are hearing the sound of the st. mary's cathedral ordering, the first indoor gatheri of then him as he walked inside his church

i was expecting anything except a robbery. >> reporter: the husband and wife team had just photographed a property in the dolores park neighborhood and planned to take the i-80 eastbound ramp to treasure island and take photos when suddenly. >> the guy was trying to get another one. inside of my camera bag, there was my drone from my video equipment. my equipment and my camera. everything i had. i will not be able to work anymore. >> reporter: the couple then jumped out to call 911 only to see the black sedan speed away. >> we talked to the police officers and the guys in this situation that happened in san francisco. >> reporter: while ben isn't sure if insurance will cover what was stolen. he is grateful this video exists and hopes it will get the attention of police and help identify the suspect.

22,000 will be filled with fans, including 7500 vaccinated healthcare workers invited by the nfl. everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask, maintain social distancing and will receive a ppe kit. but there are concerns super bowl parties could become super spreader events. >> virusess will not evolve and mutate if you do not give them an open playing field to replicate and replicate in essentially an unbridled fashion. >> reporter: the post-holiday surge in cases is now on the decline. the number of hospitalizations dropping by 32% over the last three weeks, according to covid tracking project. amid the declining number of cases, some states have begun rolling back restrictions. colorado allowing more people into bars, restaurants and gyms. and today, iowa lifting the mask mandate and social distancing limitations for business and social gatherings.
