commitment to help build a better bay area is your health. that includes the covid-19 vaccination effort which is gearing up in the bay area more than ever. north bay residents are lining up in their cars today to get the long awaited covid vaccine as new drive through clinic opened. our reporter joins us live. does it mean they're getting more vaccine shipments? >> reporter: yeah. vaccine supply is increasing slowly week by week. it's one reason why this drive through clinic was allowed to open. here at this terminal parking lot starting today, shots are being given 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. by appointment and many folks we talked to today couldn't be happier. >> yeah. >> reporter: the wait was finally over for terry. >> i'm excited. >> reporter: she was first in line sunday at new drive through covid-19 vaccine clinic. >> i live by myself so i've been

super paranoid. i didn't want to get sick. you can see i got 50 masks and hand sanitizers and sheets. >> reporter: this clinic by appointment only. pfizer vaccine doses are being put in the arms of residents ages 65 and older. >> i've been waiting. i'm 66 and a half. i thought i should get it. >> this is my fourth try. >> reporter: this woman said she's been at the mercy of vaccine supply. >> i waited for more vaccine so keeping our fingers crossed. >> reporter: vaccine shipments have been delayed by extreme weather across the nation. some points cancelled or postponed but supply is slowly catching up. >> the fact we're able to open this site is a good indication that the supply is increasing week to week. it's a sign we will be able to open more tiers very soon. >> reporter: starting monday, sonoma county is expanding the vaccine reach. older including

restaurant and grocery store workers are eligible for a shot. when you can schedule an appointment depends on supply. a 5,000-dose shipment of the moderna vaccine is expected monday or tuesday. gary is one step closer to feeling more confident. >> it's a sense of relief, actually. you know, just looking forward to a second shot. >> we're told appointments are booked at this site through next thursday. this clinic on track to vaccinate 400 people today. soon they hope to ramp up to 2,000 shots per day. as long as they can get the supply. >> so much encouraging news. also good to see so many people there behind you. thank you. the governor updated the state's vaccination effort today. he toured site engelwood. the governor said the state is bringing the vaccine to minority communities where fewer people have access to cars and public

country. you can find this handy tool on our website abc7 news.com. well, about face tonight from the san francisco unified school board. the board president lopez said they'll delay the sweeping school renaming campaign and focus on the reopening of schools as a top priority. lopez called the renaming process a distracting public debate and said mistakes were made in the process. she said the board will enlist historians to help in the future process. lopez writes the blord prioritize the reopening of classrooms. on the peninsula, the cancer lows unified school district will start in-person learning tomorrow. it will start in phases. now the question stands what

about other districts? state lawmakers want schools back open no later than april 15th. the governor said it's not enough. abc 7 news insider spoke with san francisco assembly men about the plan on abc 7 mornings today. >> the key difference between your plan and the governor's plan. what is -- where do you see the difference? >> i think the differences are actually very, very slight. i think we have been getting feedback he wants us to go faster. he wanted to focus originally on k through 2 grades and making sure they were fully open. we think the differences are very mild. >> the assemblyman said under the plan districts can reopen before april 15th, if they're ready to do so. the united states is closing in on nearly 500,000 deaths from covid-19, a mark it'll hit today or tomorrow. the white house said 2 million of the 6 million doses delayed by the winter storm have been

delivered. it expects to catch up by the middle of the week. and california's shift to a new system of delivering and scheduling vaccinations is starting in select counties. the state has turned to blue shield to manage a centralized system. in the east bay, a man arrested in a shooting that left two emergency wke iureds now also accused of murder. police today released photos showing bullet holes in emergency vehicles. crews were responding to a medical emergency last night when police say someon drove by two times and shooting at the group. a firefighter and paramedic were wounded and a woman working nearby saw it happen. >> all of a sudden i see guns started shooting. i was like no. i ran inside. all my coworkers ran inside. we all saw the same thing. a paramedic fell down. >> both victims were released from the hospital today. officers arrested darian williams after a police chase that ended in richmond.

police say williams is also accused of the shooting death of a man inside his home in discovery bay and may be conneces one count of murder and ten san francisco's past moved to a new location. it was a sight to witness. a grand victorian was picked up and moved six blocks from franklin to fulton street. there were several close calls. po power lines and street lights were removed. it was moving at 1 hour. it dates back to 1876. >> a lot of original detail in the interior was there. it's very rare survivors. most of that has been taken off to lighten the house for the move. it's in storage and a lot of detail will be returned when that building is redone.

three murals made their debut in frisan francisco today. mandatory mask wearing was mott a thing in their era but the likenesses of janice joplin and jerry garcia are being to spread the word about how important wearing a mask is to beat covid-19. the moving lives kids art center sponsored the works. >> we haven't been there yet. we know the vaccine is out. we know we're almost there. we have to still keep practicing social distancing. let's keep wearing our masks.

dot. that's the earthquake. you expect most of the shaking around that weak earthquake. weak to light shaking intensity felt as far north as san francisco. so folks in the city reported they did feel this light quake but all in all, pretty low in terms of the magnitude when we talk about earthquakes the bay area. this is a beautiful post sunshine picture. get used to the images because it's in the forecast over the next several days. temperatures mainly in the 50s and 60s now. it's 57 in the city. 60 in oakland. about 59 in san jose. 61 in santa rosa. 63 the current temperature in concord. future weather showing you we have high purchase firmly in control of the forecast. sending our storm track well to the north around seattle and vancouver. that's where the rain will stay for the next seven days. for us, we're talking about warmer weather and clear skies. overnight tonight plenty of stars out there.

a little breezy in our hills of the north bay but all and all, most areas will see light winds and temperatures a little bit warmer tonight compared to last night. last night we had the coldest spots well into the 30s. tonight you can see most will settle in the 40s. as you get into monday, monday is a warmer afternoon. upper 60s to lower 70s. total sunshine. those temperatures you see there are about 5 to close to 10 degrees above where we should be this time of the year. and that warmer weather continues on tuesday. future tracker temperatures by tuesday afternoon most spots away from the coast into the 70s if not mid 70s. we're experiencing winter warmth around here the next couple of days. the warmer weather comes with gusty winds. tuesday morning future tracker wind gust show you breezy conditions in the north bay and east bay. it looks like the winds will continue into wednesday, as well. wednesday it's a gusty day across the entire bay area. here is the seven-day forecast.

that warming trend is currently underway and continues tomorrow. it's warm and breezy on tuesday. the gusty winds on wednesday but it does get a little bit cooler closer to where we should be for this time of the year. the dry pattern continues into the weekend next weekend. after the last two nights with back to back brutal losses to the magic and hornets. a few days off before tuesday has to be a nice reset. steph curry left the game with an illness. no update on his condition. and draymond green received a double technical and ejected for what he thought should have been a jump ball. it lead to the hornets winning on free throws and winning at thezer. he had to head to the showers. he loves degree monday's passion, you can't make a mental mistake like that one. >> he crossed the line. that's the main
