president biden today marked a dark day in america's civil rights struggle by expanding voting rights. he signed an executive order to promote voter registration and participation. it was announced during the president's address of the 56th commemoration of bloody sunday when state troopers beat 600 activists during a voting rights march in selma, alabama. mr. biden says our voting rights remain at risk. >> during the current legislative session, elected officials in 43 states have already introduced over 250 bills to make it harder for americans to vote. we cannot let them succeed. >> the order directs federal

concern during the pandemic, but it's actually an experiment. 1300 people took part in a trial dance last night in amsterdam. it was part of an initiative set up by the government and the entertainment industry there to see if large groups can indeed gather safely. dancers were split into fife groups with different rules. some had to wear face masks while others were encouraged to shout and to cheer. the main focus was on their behavior and whether or not they could follow the rules. well, today east bay, where if you missed the excitement and the food that comes with the alameda county fair, you can at least get a taste of it this month. starting on thursday, the fairgrounds in pleasanton will have food vendors selling those familiar favorites, including funnel cakes, corn dog, even deep fried oreos as part of its new food feast. you can do curbside pickup or dine on the lawn socially distanced, of course. and thankfully, i think knock on wood, the weather is going to be pretty decent by the time that fair opens later on thursday.

advisory again. we'll start at midnight tonight for parts of lake and mendocino county where temperatures will start out in the upper 20s to lower 30s first thng tomorrow morning. the afternoon tomorrow, it's noticeably cooler compared to this weekend. most of us will stay in the 50s with increasing cloud cover and some showers starting to make a comeback into the forecast. on the storm impact scale, it's a level 1 system we're tracking, starting tomorrow. and actually lingering on and off showers at least through wednesday. so a few days with this storm. there is the chance, especially tuesday and wednesday that we could get a thunderstorm popping up. a little bit of instability in the atmosphere. if one does pop up, we could see some hail and even an isolated lightning strike. hour by hour we go. tomorrow morning, it's clear. tomorrow afternoon, we have that cloud cover moving in. some showers in the north bay. and i really do think tomorrow the best chance of finding rain will be in the north bay. as we head later into monday and

overnight into tuesday, the showers become more widespread. this is tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. and the pops of yellow and orange indicating some heavier showers, even that threat of a thunderstorm. so it's for that fact the storm prediction center has placed the entire bay area on tuesday under neath that risk for a thunderstorm popping up that could contain some hail and even some lightning. we'll keep our eye on that. rainfall totals over the next several days through wednesday, a lot of us i think will see anywhere from a half of an inch to 3/4 of an inch of rainfall with this storm system. here is the accuweather seven-day forecast. certainly beneficial rain over the next couple of days. we're going watch tuesday and wednesday very closely for the chance of that thunderstorm moving through. otherwise by thursday and friday, it's dryer and brighter, and then over the weekend, some showers on sunday. >> now abc7 sports with chris alvarez. >> stephen curry is arguably the greatest shooter of all time.
