later this evening, 7:00 p.m., widespread light rain. by 9 pm it looks like the focus of the wet weather is through the east bay and the south bay. overnight, first thing tomorrow morning, the showers become more scattered in nature and during the day, this is when we have a chance of finding a thunderstorm developing. and even snow in the highest peaks like mount hamilton. rainfall potential, likely a quarter of an inch with this but quick moving storm system. at 1500 feet you could see six inches of snowfall tonight. winter storm warning in effect for the sierra but 3000 feet could see up to two feet on the highest peaks. tonight it is cool in in the 30s and 40s with showers and it is windy. tomorrow, it is a cool day with scattered showers, only in the 50s. here is the seven-day forecast. there is a thunder storm threat tomorrow.
