assaults against asian singers in san francisco. on tuesday morning, an 83-year- old male was knocked to the ground and 77-year-old woman around the same time. they are investigating a possible motive. >> a study is linking online hate speech against asian americans directly to donald trump. >> the study found a week after trump tweeted the words chinese virus for the first first firsts number of covid related tweets with anti asian went up. attaching locations or ethnicities to a disease can really stimulate this type of racist attitude towards this particular group. >> and he said normallizing this type of behavior can give rise to hate crimes.

>> part of building a better bay area strives for a change in the education system working toward that goal. california has now approved the first ethnic studies curriculum for high school students. amy holyfield and the lessons they will be learning. >> reporter: it took three years to develop this curriculum and different groups arguing they are being misrepresented in the curriculum but finally this has been approved and it will be on its way to california high schools. this will be the state wide one in the nation. it would study on african- americans, latinos, aish then americans and pacific islanders and native americans and it will include lessons on jews, and armenian americans. students for example may study

santa clara county had to cancel thousands of appointments because of a lack of supply. amy holyfield is at the health center in san jose. amy. >> reporter: reggie, it started as such a great week. millions of californians became eligible for the shot this weak but sites like this one don't have shots for them so they will have to wait. here officials say they are ready to administer them, they just don't have them. the county has notified thousands of kai kaiser patients that their appointments have been cancelled for next week. they think things will pick in april. they hope they will. ukraine they have more promises of vaccine coming. until then they will use those for second shots and those disproportionately affected by the virus. the county says it will do all
