tomorrow. along the peninsula look for highs in the mid to upper 80s on the coast. it would be mild but there will be a return let mid to late afternoon. that will keep the temperatures from rising very high. east bay has mid to upper 80s. in the east bay upper 80s to near 90. once again i will not be surprised if a couple of locations top out at 90 degrees. let's skip ahead to midnight sunday night or 12:00 a.m. monday. there is some rain approaching the pacific northwest. some of the shower activity may move into the bay area monday and tuesday. we will probably -- it will be probably very light. we are looking at estimates of under 2/10 of an inch for most locations. not a major rain producer but some wet weather. here in the accuweather 7-day forecast. records likely again tomorrow. still warm friday but no records likely. we will have a tender gray cooldown. into the weekend dry conditions mainly sunny and to some increasing clouds laid easter. then, monday and tuesday we have a chance of some showers.

this is a abc7 news. as the recall ever begins, governor newsome continues and a new poll says he is in a good position to win and keep his seat. a new poll by the public policy institute shows 56% of california voters will vote to retain him as governor and 40% would vote to kick amount. we have been digging into the recall and we are joined client today. the numbers go very well for new but what are some variables that could change the picture that could throw him off his current trajectory? >> uni no politics and anything can happen. things look good for him but who knows in the coming months we could have a setback with the pandemic that gets people upset. kids may not go back to school. we could see another unforeseen catastrophe. we could also see someone jumping into the race in recall and who sucks all of the oxygen out of the race and gets people excited.
