who is african-american had numerous tweets directed at asian-americans and one saying that asian-americans in her words used white supremacist thinking to assimilate and get ahead. she has since said they were taken out of context but did not address that wednesday. firing forward instead. >> i will unapologetically pursue equity and empowerment of black, latin x, asian, arab and other communities regardless of the opportunistic and meritless attacks. >> reporter: in a lawsuit also filed wednesday, collins is suing the district and five board members who voted to strip e her of her vice president title and community involvement. her lawsuit questions that the move and goes on to say that it is a violation of her freedom of speech as the tweets were made before she was voted to the board. she now seeks $87 million in damages. while many spoke to support her

in southern california a developing news, a child is among four people who died in a shooting in an office shooting in orange county. two others are in the hospital in critical condition. a spokesperson for the city of orange police department says police were involved in an exchange of gunfire with the suspect. no word yet on whether officers shot him. and police don't know yet the motive for the attack. for the first time, the public heard derek chauvin's perspective of the arrest of george floyd during day three
