fremont police shot and killed a man tonight outside a hyatt hotel. it's the second shooting want it officers have been involved in in the past eight days. police say the man was armed. >> amanda was explains how officers were involved. >> shots fired. >> reporter: two fremont police detectives shot and killed a man and say he was armed with a gun in the parking lot of this hyatt place thursday. he had a number of outstanding felony warrants and was being surveilled. detectives tried to make contact. when he didn't comply, they deployed a police dog. >> two detectives fired their service weapon at the suspect. >> reporter: she noticed more

than a handful of what she described as unmarked cars parked at the hyatt place early afternoon. >> i saw as i was going to see what was going on. >> reporter: the suspect died on-scene. fremont pd didn't give specifics about the suspect or the types of crimes only saying he was well known to the department. thursday was the second deadly shooting involving fremont police in just eight days. >> very concerned that we have individuals in our society that want to take on and kill a police officer. >> reporter: more information may be available in several days. >> and we sent this first alert when news of the shooting broke this evening.

two record highs. 85 degrees at san jose. and it was really warm just about everywhere. high temperatures generally in the mid to upper 80s. now we're cooling down. an onshore flow has developed. 61 degrees in san francisco. 55 in oakland. 62 in san jose. 67 morgan hill. and 45 at half moon bay. and from emeriville, this is along the bay bridge. other temperature readings 52 in santa rosa, napa 55. concord is our warmest spot at 53. livermore, 61 degrees. there'll be fog developing near the coast and bay overnight. is that continuing through the weekend. the weekend will remain dry and relatively mild. certainly not as warm as we've seen in the last couple of days.

here's our forecast animation overnight. we'll finally see that along the coastline or a patch or two move out over the bay. it'll linger along the coastline for much of the day tomorrow. sunny skies over the bay and inland. overnight low temperatures will be mainly in the mid to upper 40s and highs tomorrow will range from only low 60s to low and mid-70s around the shoreline. upper 70s to low 80s tomorrow. monday morning, notice that monday, tuesday, and tuesday we'll see weak impulses approaching the bay area. rain or threatening rain. but it doesn't appear at the moment that any rain is going to fall in any significant -- woops. and i think my an meg just went away. no significant totals of rain will fall in the bay area next week. let's get to
