is reopening. >> we will take a announcement about the whole tier strategy. we are likely to that announcement on tuesday updating the approach to tiers on the basis of our expectation that many facts or supplies will come to the state. >> the governor said that he would like to make the announcement on monday or tuesday as he just said but first he will talk to local health officials before revealing the changes. we certainly look forward to that. the governorra newser nouned the state will expect a large ship of johnson and johnson doses next week. he aid the state should receive about 572,000 but the number will drop significantly in the following weeks. california's seven day positive rate is at 1.8% which is one of the lowest in the country. the low transmission rate has paved the way for the state to allow for concerts, conferences and other indoor events to resume on april 15th. there will be restrictions. the return of indoor event is a big step forward for reopeng ca counties will still need to

vaccinated against coronavirus can now travel at low risk to themselves. there is already been an up tick in travel at sfo. the airport said thursday was the busiest day since the pandemic started. the cdc said that even with the new guidelines people should only travel if absolutely necessary. people at sfo were traveling for all sorts of reasons. >> coronavirus scares me. >> but you're traveling. >> i need to see my daughter. i would only do it for her. >> i'm going home to minneapolis. >> i miss my girlfriend. >> my mom's 84th birthday. >> the cdc said if you travel you should socially distance and wear a mask. the cdc released new guidance for the cruise industry and are to get vaccinated. the agency will require cruise lines to give daily reports on the number of coronavirus cases. this is stricter than it's last guidance in october which called for weekly reports. companies must also out to

vaccinate crew and port people and test the crew on board. the cdc is not set a state for cruises to resume. and happening today a new drive through vaccine site is going to open in east palo alto. the facility is in the parking lot of ceasar chavez middle school and it's designed to help seven a city where the vaccination rate is just 27%. that's compared to nearly 45%. officials hope to give about a thousand doses of the johnson and johnson single shot vaccine each day. it'll remain open as long ass this funding, vaccine availability and access to the site. doctors in san ramone will hoclinic today there. it runs from 8 noon. appointments must be booked online or by calling the clinic. the number is right there on your screen as is the website. up to 200 people will be vaccinated today with the first vaccination of the mode are, na

. welcome back. here is a live look outside. about 50 degrees right now in san francisco. it was such a nice week wasn't you will be happy. new details in the attack that killed a united states capitol police officer. sources say that the suspect was a 25-year-old noah green. authorities say he rammed his car into two officers at a barricade and got out of the car and lunged at them with a knife. the officers shot green and he later died atlliam evans was ll bay area congressman was going back to his office when he got word of what happened. >> i see how at risk these

this morning. little bit further out and we are looking at the clear start but we have some patchy clouds all the way out toward the striat. 46 in santa rosa, it's in the upper 40's the idea here. as we look at san francisco, gray skies here the camera. the cooling continues this afternoon. especially for the inland communities. the steady, seasonal or below average temperatures takes us through easter. that will allow for the clouds to linger right along the shoreline here and then looking at slow warming. we are talking just a few degrees as we get in to the middle of next week. the winds have been switching around and that has allowed for the on shore flow and that fog to stay with us. first column, average temperatures from the low 60's in san francisco to the upper 6o's inland and notice a few numbers below average. san bruno, san francisco, particularly here where we have the on shore flow and the clouds, otherwise not bad in san jose with upper 60's.

food stamps. and a driver attacked united states capitol police officers leaving one dead and another injured as we mentioned earlier. officer william evans is the 4th capitol officer to die since january. ty hernandez has the details on yesterday's attack. >> a capitol police officer is dead and another hurt after authorities say that a man drove his car into a security checkpoint at the united states capitol. >> the suspect rammed his car into two of our officers and then he hit the north barricade barrier. >> police say the suspect then pulled a knife and lunged toward officers before he was shot. law enforcement sources identifying the man as 25-year- old noah green. >> it doesn't appear they is known to the capitol police at this time. >> the two injured officers rushed to the hospital, one is in stable condition. officer william billy evans didn't survive. he served 18 years on the
