breaking news. >> a major announcement from buckingham palace just moments ago. prince philip has died at 99. this is a look at the memorial posted on the royal family's website this morning. >> thank you for joining us. prince philip is the longest serving consort in british history. >> what we are learning about his dad this morning. >> buckingham palace says prince philip duke of eof eof ee passed away peacefully at windsor castle. the prince returned home following a month long stay in the hospital where he underwent a heart procedure. philip was born in 1929 into the greek and danish royal families. in 1947, he married the future queen of england. the couple had four cfour cfourc including prince charles, eight grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. at the age of 95, prince philip

or they can show they have been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks. they will be assigned a date. the stadium has been divided into nine zones. you'll enter a gate that you are assigned to and you will stay in that zone to use those restrooms and concessions in that area. fans will order food from their seats on their phones and then pick it up when they receive word it is ready. team executives say it is a lot but they say it is worth all this work to get to see their fans. >> we have not had fans in the ballpark for 18 months. so much has changed. our last game was when bruce retired. that is how long ago it has been. so it is absolutely worth it. >> 8900 tickets8900 tickets8900s

for today. they were only allowed to have and 22% of their ballpark capacity. they don't know when that will change. that is why they have only sold tickets to april games. they are waiting to see what the health department says about may but they say this is the first major event in san francisco since the shutdownthen a lot of people are going to be watching to see how this goes. reporting live in san francisco, amy, abc 7 news. now to the latest on covid- 19 in california. the state reported more than 2000 covid-19 cases on thursday and there were 129 deaths. the states seven-day positivity rate is just under 2% of these figures have held steady in the past week. the cdc is reassuring the public that johnson & johnson vaccines are safe but as we have been warning you, get ready for a big drop in the number of vaccines we will get from that company next week. elizabeth reports it comes as we see a rise in hospitalizations across the lot of the country. >> this morning with the nations covid death toll now surpassing 560,000, health officials are cautioning about the up taking casestaking casess

see. the public defenders office says it started with four unknown people beating his client, stephen jenkins. the defense says jenkins suffered 45 punches including some to his head. that left him injured and disoriented. video shows jenkins walking down market street and after being attacked again, he punches the 75-year-old woman. a security guard tackles jenkins and holds him until police get there. jenkins is charged with that attack and another -- earlier that same day. deputy public defender says the attacks against the asian seniors were not racially motivated. jenkins faces six counts of assault and battery and he is not charged with a hate crime. a warning today about some verizon mobile hotspots create a fire hazard. the company has recalled to a half-million& jet packs. there have been two reports of minor burns. the 4g hotspots were used by schools and sold in stores

>> we are learning more about the suspect in a shooting rampage in south carolina. former 49ers and raiders player philip adams. he spent five injury riddled seasons in the league suffering at least two concussions with any three-game period in 2012. on thursday police say he shot and killed five people including a prominent local doctor, his wife and two grandchildren a man working at the property was also found dead. investigators say he later died by suicide. that person being adams. less than 24 hours later, an employee at a cabinet company in bryant texas shot and killed at least one person. five others were hurt including a state trooper and that was all before the 27-year-old suspect was arrested. >> gun violence in this country is an epidemic. it is an international embarrassment. >> president biden has signedhad
