starting to vaccinate that population. you need to live in one of seven neighborhoods that the th city has chosen. what the city based their decision on based on the expansion. >> as the april 15th date approaches, when everybody in the state, 16 and older qualifies to get vaccinated. san francisco wanted to give seven neighborhoods a head start. >> we wanted to ensure equal access and in access. they listed eight zip codes. the deposit director said they know there will be a big rush on thursday and didn't necessarily have to wait on the state. >> the state of california has provided discretion to those providers serving high impact

areas on who to vaccinate. >> several weeks ago they signed a letter with 20 legislators urging state officials to change the vaccine strategy. they are glad san francisco is getting a head start and that the state is listening. >> since then, the governor has committed almost $8 million to the bay area to increase vaccination access. > >> 152 people were vaccinated at this community hub. they are glad that the city made the expansion but said there is a big need for more community hubs like this one. >> because with these particular sites you can have that conversation. >> and supply is what's concerning san francisco's dph. this week they received 16,000 dose of the vaccine. next week that will go down to 10,000. >> with in the next, you know, ten to 14 days the hope is there will be enough vaccine. >> you can go to san francisco

general or southeast health sevenner from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and get vaccinated. if you are 16 you will need to go with a parent pare in san francisco,. berkeley also announced that first dose vaccination appointments are available for berkeley or alameda resident who are at least 16. california is warning of at vaccine supply shortage in the coming weeks. they say that next week's delivery will be short by 15%. 2.4million doses were expected but california will now only get two million. another 5% drop is expected the week after that. health care providers sate news is disappointing because they have been told vaccine deliveries would only grow and not shrink. > disappoints because we were told for months that by mid- april you will have as much vaccine as you need. that's not the case.

we spoke to the owner of the orinda theater that said they were able to find things that had been hidden for decades. >> do you remember the last time you went and saw a movie in a theater? >> no. not really. >> sophia came with a small group of friends and family including her dad. >> it feels normal which is wonderful. >> though not normal enough to wear this. >> this i have in my closet. the pants are for zoom. >> the art deco lobby getting the chance to show off. >> we haven't been in like a thousand years. >> the theater opened last week for private screenings, up to 25 people which feels like nothing in the 750 feet main theater. as far as theaters go they have been lucky. >> we had a very successful go fund me campaign and people reached out and helped us through this.

we were out earlier. so cold. you may have slept through the chill and the fog out there. what's left is a lot of sunshine. we will bring in a few high clouds today but it's the wind that has brought the cold air. because we are getting a little bit of a court wind later on today, as high pressure builds in that will cut off that strong on shore flow from reaching most of us. it'll reach the coast once again and so that's why it'll be so cool there. that chilled area long for temperatures off the shoreline just in the upper 50's. as that high pressure builds in we it cleared sooner. we have upper level northerly winds and that will work for a warmer day around the bay and inland. if you are on the coast find a warmer spot or bring the sweatshirt. here is a look at the roof camera. we aren't looking at any wind. 49 san francisco, 52 oakland, mountain view nice recovery in the low 50's. 50 in san jose. morgan hill at 50 as well as

half moon bay. here is a little bit of haze that's leftover from our camera. 47 santa rosa. 48na apa. if you have vegetables or things are you trying to plant it's very cold for that in the morning. it has been. things haven't changed up in the protected valleys. 54 in nevado. the 30's as well. we are in the low 50's for concord and fairfield the winds are calm. when we have that southwesterly wind it's going to be cool in the inland valleys. that's backed off. here is a look at the upper elevation winds out of the north. that's indicating that things are changing a bit and we will see a slightly warmer afternoon. mount tam lit the haze and fog in the distance. sunny and warmer weekend looking at the warmest day of the week which will be tomorrow with less wind and looking at that dry pattern into the next seven days. at least and perhaps beyond that. i have said before we should see well over an inch of rain in san francisco for the month of april. not in the outlook as we look

. we hear so much about a need to encourage young students, right, especially girls to aspire to careers in science and technology. education is very much a part of building a better bay area and solving problems. sometimes we can be astounded by what students are accomplishing in high school. >> safety is a concern for anyone out walking, jogging, or hiking, day or night. a jr. at valley christian high school in san jose wanted to speed up the reporting of sexual assault. she created an app she thinks does that. >> help! >> a loud alarm, and then it'll prepare a ready made text to send to 911 with the user's location. >> the 16-year-old developed keep me safe which was the winner among 12apps submitted to a competition.
