news.com/vaccine. an asian man was stabbed several times late last night when he was attacked and robbed in san francisco's bay view neighborhood. the 53-year-old victim told police he was on exeter street at around 10:30 p.m. the suspect came up from behind, demanded money and then pulled up a knife. that's when he was stabbed and the suspect stole a backpack, got into a car and escaped. san francisco police say right now there is no indication the crime was racially motivated. >> race and social justice just one of five issues we focus on in our commitment to build a better bay area. today a rallying cry of the aapi community. >> a group of japanese drummers joined an anti asian hate march in mountain view this afternoon. demonstrators marched from city's transit center that they say served as a processing point for japanese american internment in world war ii. their message was focused on

well the paint brushes were out today in oakland's china town as artists put together murals with a message. these gorgeous works at madison park were targeting the recent wave of anti asian crime. some focused on unity while others expressed support or encouraged people to come forward and take action to fight back against the hate. all of the artists by the way who took part in this event were either asian or black. nice to see that show of solidarity. that's all the time we have for abc 7 news at 5:00.
