5:02 am
the pause was announced yesterday so officials can investigate an extremely rare blood clotting disorder. it developed in nearly six of the 7 million people that received the vaccine. one woman died and another is in critical condition. health officials still don't know whether it was the vaccine that caused the disorder. >> so i think people need to be reassured. that even when there is no definitive link or causality, that no chances will be taken when it comes to people's safety. >> this is a really rare event. there has been six out of the 6.85 million doses. which is less million. >> health officials believe gettings vaccine far out weighs the risk. the chance of developing it is less than 1.5 million. you have a higher chance of being hit by lightning. here in the bay area, every single county will continue its

5:07 am
moderna. >> reporter: this also won't be a huge problem in san francisco. of the 10,000 doses the city received this week, only 500 were johnson & johnson. across the state, 8800 appointments made through the my turn website are for the j & j vaccine. so they're having to work on whether to cancel or change those. across the state, the state received 67,000 doses of j & j. none of those will be used. live in pleasanton, amy hollyfield abc 7 news. >> thank you, amy. we are expected to find out today if the minnesota officer who shot and killed 20-year-old daunte wright will be facing any charges. there was another night of protests in brooklyn center. >> if you do not cease your unlawful behavior, you will be arrested. >> the officer who shot wright resigned yesterday. officer kim potter says that
