over all our neighborhoods. the temperatures are below average in san francisco. close to average and 70s in the south bay, east bay and up in the north bay. we will take a look at the rain. it is still coming this weekend and so are our cooler temperatures. i will see you in a bit with that. and developing news in the death of man that died after an interaction with alameda police. investigators say they will likely be releasing body camera video next week. last night more than a 100 family and friends came together for a candlelight vigil for 26-year-old mario gonzalez. investigators say they responded to a call monday for a theft and possible intoxicated person.

they came across gonzalez and at one point they say there was a scuffle as they attempted to place his hands behind his back. that is when officers say gonzalez suffered some kind of medical emergency. family members, though, are demanding answers about how he could have died in police custody. >> we want answers. not only do we want answers, we are getting answers. i am not resting. we are locked and loaded. we are coming at them. >> investigators are interviewing witnesses as well as the officers. they haven't released many details but they say at this point there was no significant use of force or weapons involved. enrage, outrage, anger and fear continues to grow nationwide after two police killings, the latest in north carolina where a man was shot by a police officer a search warrant. jobina fe live desk. what are we learning? >> the latest shooting happened

in elizabeth city, south carolina. deputies shot and killed 40- year-old andrew brown while issuing a warrant. the deputy was wearing a body camera. the footage has not been released. the deputy involved is on administrative leave. officials have declined to answer any questions about the investigation. the shooting comes less than a day after police in columbus, ohio, shot and killed a teeninged girl. a barning here, some of the. a warning the video could be graphic. her name is mikaya bryant. officer nicklaus reardon is seen approaching bryant and another woman. investigators say bryant was trying to stab another woman. >> who wants to hear about acts against their family members is frightening. >> officers were also seen giving bryant cpr.

protests continued for a second night in columbus. hundreds of people were seen marching toward the state capitol. ohio gov mike dewine calls the shooting a horrible tragedy and praises the police department's transparency in releasing the video of the incident. this morning former minneapolis police officer derek chauvin waking up in solitary confinement at minnesota's maximum security prison. derek chauvin is being held there for his own safety >> the justice department opened a civil innovation german whether the minneapolis police department engages in practice of unconstitutional or unlawful policing. >> the probe will assess whether the department engages in discriminatory conduct. tomorrow new interviews with george floyd's family and people who knew dek chvin. isis

will be away for a while. the giants are back. we will talk about that forecast coming up. 51 and west winds, below average temperatures for the coast and bay, average inland, areas of fog and drizzle like this morning. our coolest highs this weekend with the storms arriving saturday night and all of us getting wet sunday. here is a look at the fog. as we head up to noon it is stout in parts of the north bay and coast. by the afternoon hours it already starts making a return trip in parts of the bay area like the golden gate, it may never actually leave. in the south bay 61 to 68. mid-50s along the coast and upper 50s downtown and san francisco. upper 60s, low 70s in the north bay. east bay shore low to mid-60s. inland 69 to 75 degrees. as far as tonight, we are looking at temperatures in the mid to upper 40s once again. we are going to take a look at

appointments available each day, so 4,000 total for the remaining week. >> reporter: public information officer jeannette upton says that number doesn't reflect potential walk-ins as the county's largest mass vaccination clinic and hopes appointments will be filled. new data released by the cdc shows the entire bay area ranks very low in vaccine hesitancy. still, dr. mike wasserman that sits on the california vaccine advisory committee admits there is great divide and politics around the vaccine can impact public health. >> this is a war against the virus. as a country we all need to come together to fight this war and defeat the virus so we can go back to normal. >> reporter: further south, cdc data found about 8% of santa clara county residents are hesitant about getting the covid-19 vaccine. about 3% are strongly hesitant. the on the ground push perseveres. san jose recently hosting this

moms and newborns but pregnant women should still talk to their doctors about being vaccinated. we are keeping track of california's vaccination process with our abc7 news vaccine tracker. a third of the state is now fully vaccinated. you will find this and a lot of other vaccine resources on abc7news.com/vaccine. new developments. a danville police officer is facing felony charges after shooting and killing a man while on duty. the contra costa district attorney made the announcement say that officer andrew hall used unnecessary and unreasonable force responding to a pursuit. this happened in 2018 after neighbors reported that the man acted suspiciously. hall is facing voluntary manslaughter and assault for the semi-automatic firearm charges and his lawyers claimed social distance. >> he felt not only is his life in imminent danger by virtue of

this car approaching him, but his sergeant's life was in danger, as well. >> attorney tom burress represents the family. >> we said earlier the second client could not be dead had he been prosecuted earlier. >> reporter: he is referring to tyrrell wilson shot and killed by officer hall on march 11. body cam video recently shows hall confronting wilson. wilson can be seen pulling a knife and that is what hall fires. it is said he should have attempted deescalation. the video, however, the police department says wilson was a threat according to the ronment the governor visited lake mendocino yesterday and stood a in a spot that should be covered by at least 40 feet of water. it is historically low for thno this is what it should look like. the governor says the state
