hollyfield, abc7 news. for my thank you, any. new this morning, astrazeneca sold a whopping $275 million worth of its covid-19 vaccine already this year. that is without the shot having fda clearance here in the u.s. astrazeneca released new financial information estimating it's delivered around 68 million doses worldwide. most of them sent to europe. pfizer is going to start making smaller shipments of its covid-19 vaccine available. this will give smaller doctors offices a chance to get the vaccine, and make it easier to reach people who still aren't getting vaccinated. studies show getting the covid- 19 vaccine from someone's personal dr. can help alleviate vaccine hesitancy. happening today, fremont pharmacy is opening of exhalation clinic for people who want the pfizer shot. they currently have no waitlist, and the clinic will be opened this afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. the hours tomorrow and sunday are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

our vaccine tracker on abc7 is keeping tabs on the progress across california. right now, it shows 39% of residents over the age of 16 are fully vaccinated. more than 29 million doses have been given out you can find this and more at /vaccine. today, this funeral service will be held for mckee o'brien, the club is, ohio, teenager that was shot and killed by a police officer during a confrontation at her foster home. lycc another girl, leading an officer to fire his weapon within just seconds. her family says, they don't want the teenager to be remembered by the incident, that ended her life. the family of a man who died after being restrained by alameda police officers is taking legal action against the police department. jobina fortson is at the live

desk with new information coming in this morning, another one of these startling debts, jobina. absolutely, julian. the attorney for the family of mario gonzalez told abc news, they plan to file a civil like lawsuit. gonzalez complied with the officers, they say, and his rights were violated. the incident began with 911 calls about a disorderly person in the area. when police encountered gonzalez, he appeared to be incoherent, but not aggressive. when the officers tried to arrest him, he resisted. and they pinned gonzalez to the ground for several minutes, with one officer placing his knee on gonzalez's back gonzalez lost consciousness, and he later died at the hospital his family's attorney is speaking on gma today. >> alameda police apartment needs to explain why a perfectly healthy man, who was never charged with a crime, was killed in their custody. >> that was the mario gonzalez speaking. the three police officers are on administered leave as they investigate the lawyer for the officers says they are heartbroken that gonzales died,

of photos of his attacker, while he was getting away and was able to give police a description. santa rosa city council is looking to report that police use excessive force against black lives matter protesters last summer. according to the press democrat, the city hired an outside investigator to look into these allegations, surrounding protests following the killing of george floyd. now the report claims, officers fired technical projectiles at peaceful crowds. those are typically used to break windows. one of those rounds severely injured a demonstrator who was there. the report also claims officers targeted people unnecessarily with rubber bullets. new developments here in the effort to recall the mayor of windsor. it's now moving forward. this week, paperwork needed to oust mayor dominic foppoli was refiled and accepted as valid. the organizers of the campaign to recall the mayor had to start the process over, because originally, it did not include his correct title. foppoli has refused recalls to

resign after sexual assault allegations. fire crews are taking on specialized training in the cal fire and the cooperation with the california national guard have formed a task force rattlesnake. 13 hand crews set up throughout the state with cal fire's santa clara unit, taking on two. chief cole perea says together, the teams consist of four cal fire captains, eight seasonal firefighters, and 48 cardmembers. >> we haven't really had established and crews in the past. so with this entity and being able to have these two fire crews, it'll be a huge asset for the surrounding communities, and for the santa clara unit also. >> the cal fire santa clara unit or scu battled the lightning complex, which ignited last august. that was active for 44 days and it torched nearly 400,000 acres across five counties. look at this, troubling images shows the extent of

california's drought, as mike first told us yesterday, a lot of the bay area is now in extreme drought. you can see those areas highlighted in the red. now democrats in the california senate are taking action. they have outlined a proposal to spend $3.4 billion to combat drought. this money would pay for things like trucking and water for small communities, and encouraging conservation. supporters say they need to take advantage of the budget surplus. that map is really tough to look at. it looks like things are getting worse. >> yes, they are getting worse. and he will continue to get worse. there is no way of sugarcoating it, because, well okay, we could sugarcoat it a little bit, but not enough to stop the bleeding, if you will. the we will sugarcoat is by showing you what's going on right now, and how bad it was at the end of 2015. that is what you are seeing. you are seeing the latest on the left, and where we were
